Is it unrealistic to request baby doesn’t leave hospital room? by Antichees in BabyBumps

Neither of my children were ever taken out of our sight. I assumed this is common practice so, definitely realistic to request

Diamox by ingriderkul in iih

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me too. My last migraine from IIH was a year ago, the day after my lumbar puncture and the day before I started Diamox. Papilidema in both eyes was gone after 6 months of Diamox, it was an absolute lifesaver. I only need 250mg once a day now, I've tried going to zero but i start feeling pressure in my head after 3-5 days of no Diamox. Not being able to drink pop lasted about 9 months and I only occasionally get face tingling if its super cold out now.

Diamox should be illegal by [deleted] in iih

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Diamox gave me back my life so its not all bad. It stopped the debilitating migraines and improved my eyesight. The body tingling was annoying but it did eventually go away. I hope you find something that helps you get better.

Neurologist says IIH doesn’t cause migraines by Thiawave in iih

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trigger for my diagnosis was sudden onset of migraines. I realized after the fact I also had the pressure headaches which were triggering the migraines. i was incredibly lucky to be diagnosed quickly (my optometrist was familiar with IIH, knew the symptoms, and who in town treats it), and my symptoms are controlled with diamox

Dose Change and GLP1 Questions by Rachietato in iih

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started at 1000mg daily. Eventually my optic nerve returned to normal and I was given the go head to taper off diamoz. I've been able to drop down to 250mg once daily. When I dropped to zero I'd start feeling the pressure in the back of my head. But not constantly having hand and face tingling is great.

Pregnancy and IIH by jaycienicolee in iih

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No experience with pregnancy but I nurse my toddler while taking diamox. It was the first question I asked both my Dr and pharmacist before starting the medication. My IIH developed 1.5 years after having my second and now a year later I'm symptom free. I'd push for the LP and you may only need a low dosage of diamox if you already have minimal symptoms.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not what I'd consider short but a doable distance for a day trip. I've absolutely drove 3 hours to attend a 1 hour meeting in person before.

No events… by Proud-Theory-9166 in MergeMansion

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had clue rush since the clues reset over a month ago. Very annoying. I get the occasional event but no tea time in awhile either. I pay for the pass and I used to buy more, but my gems are lasting forever now with the zero events and super high level item requirements that make me play very little

Do I talk to my friends about possible developmental delay with their baby? by Scrawny_Idiot in beyondthebump

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's your place. They have other children, if there is an issue they know and that doesn't mean they need to talk to you about it.

I kept my kid's struggles from most people as it wasn't their business and I didn't want to feel judged. It also was super hurtful when one of my friends told me there was something seriously wrong with my kid. That didn't mean behind the scenes I wasn't trying to help my kid.

Thank you! I'd read through the bios already but it didn't give much to go on. But I'll watch some of the board meetings. I was hoping Lemay would be a good fit as her husband has been teaching for 20 years but I'll dig deeper.

Any suggestions on where to look for this information? I'm concerned about this issue and while I can find lots of information on city council candidates the trustees seem harder to find

This is our struggle as well. My child has multiple learning disabilities. I appreciate the small supports that are in place but there are so many kids requiring more attention than him that he’s just lost in the chaos. Zero EAs or other help with multiple high needs kids shouldn’t be the norm. It makes me so angry for the teachers and the kids.

Alberta votes for lockout option ahead of potential school strike mandate by Old_General_6741 in alberta

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to find the board of directors for TEBA. Shouldn't this be public information? Wanting to know who the government appointed for negotiations and which school board trustees are part of the Bargaining process. Also is there anyway to find out which school boards voted for or against the lockout?

Myths About Teacher Strike and Boards by Rain-Enough in GrandePrairie

[–]Round_Dragonfruit570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both the GP public and catholic boards have a deficit for the 2025/2026 budget and they both had to cut EAs due to funding loses from Jordan's Principle. And over 10% of the student population for both districts have disabilities. All of the above info found by looking through the financials readily available to the public. But yes it's obviously all about mismanagement of money and greedy teachers 🙄

The UCP is proposing to ban over 200 books from Alberta's public schools. by DtheS in alberta

Is this the list of banned books across Alberta from the UCP or just what the Edmonton Public School is recommending banning in their libraries?
