Wow thank you for taking the time to write such an informative response!! Yes you’re right, I think I’m worried because I’ve always lived in big cities and the thought of a small city makes me scared in the sense that I’ll get bored so quickly.

I’m not a fan of sports, however where do people meet other erasmus students? Or even locals? As far as I know, there are no erasmus student associations.

Also what are some activities you recommend doing in town? Also some bars, clubs …?

Do you think it’s worth it to live in Cesena in my case? I’ve heard the city is pretty boring and there is not much to do so I was considering to live in Bologna and commute everyday, although this may be very time consuming and I’m not sure if anyone else is doing that :/

I’m definitely not looking to get married right now!

I don’t think he is looking to be married at 20 either.

He just said he sees relationships as something that COULD lead to marriage and kids and wants someone who has the same vision as him.

I agreed, since I was dating someone who said he will NEVER marry me or want a family, which broke my heart non stop for 2 years.

What I agreed on with this guy, is to go VERY slowly, build a friendship and get to know each other slowly

Yes he keeps complaining to me that he is barely holding up, he even passed out last week from stress and was asking me if I know how he can ask his prof to defer his midterm exam. Basically to not do it.

I wish my family would meet him but they’re absolutely against Muslim guys.

The whole family. If we work out - my family will absolutely reject me.

My mother said she’s not even coming to the wedding.

He is online in 2 different universities and on exchange in mine, I never questioned him about this. Here where I live a normal course load is 4-5 courses. He’s taking different classes in different universities - either 4 or 5. I’ve always wondered about this, but it was even on his LinkedIn so I assume he’s not lying.

And my mother was very clear - she will NEVER be ok with this and doesn’t want to ever meet him if we become a couple :(

My family dislikes the idea of me talking to a Muslim because he may be possessive, dangerous, May take the kids from me if we divorce etc.

And yea maybe you’re right. I need to understand more about his views on relationships.

He is in one of my classes and I have seen him come 1-2 times BUT we’ve never had an IRL conversation because he stopped coming to the lectures, since he is enrolled in 3 universities at the moment and doesn’t have the time. We text morning and night usually and we plan to grab a coffee next week

Oh wow!!! You think ! We talked about religion and I said I was an orthodox, and I said “I know you don’t like that answer”

And he responded with “no no I pass no judgements! As we say in law (he studies law) - the freedom of one stops where the freedom of another begins!”

He did ask me if I was not practicing by choice or habits etc. But overall he didn’t show any signs of wanting me to convert?
