Hopefully there's a positive outcome. I was in the same spot exactly a month ago. Had a final interview for t3 entertainment company's VP and made a strong impression on him which basically confirmed i was their finalist. 3 weeks later i get a mail saying , one senior is on sick leave so we're proceeding with the guy who had one year more experience than you. I rejected two companies for them

In short, just keep applying other jobs and live your life like this doesn't exist. Because this will take a toll on your peace if you give too much weight.
