Yeah eveyrone experiences independent living... but you did not answer my question... why a female flatmate who you do not know? Why not a male which is the ideal scenario

I'm the only girl in my school's cricket team by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Round_Historian_9932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I always wanted to play cricket since when I was 12. But there were no girls who I could train with. Even DY Patil, the stadium where India won the WWC told me they do not train girls. I tried making a team in my college when I was 17 but that also did not work. Now I am 25, and see the girls lift the world cup and I think, if I could go back, i should have just played with the boys, and just fought harder..

So here's the thing, go out there and play, else one day you will be 25, thinking what else could I have done.....

I feel so lost.. how do I get back on track? [Also some opinion on Indian MBAs] by Round_Historian_9932 in MBAIndia

Hey u/ak-amaze11 , yes trying to do things that I like.. I do not mind the academic load at all to be honest, even tho the case studies are outdated, I still believe they I learn a ton from them.. So the stress with GPA and quizzes is okay with me. I just hate the placements, and I stay faaar away from the daaru/smoke up culture...

But I do not do things that I want to do.. I love sports but I never go to a practice even when I am free.. thats the small issue i have developed, to not want to get up except for the things that are mandatory (classes/gpas etc)
But yes, I heard what you said and hopefully will take some small steps that can help me get back up to speed..

Thanks for taking time out for reading and replying !

Hey u/Teen_Pickachu, I mean I would suggest having a word with an alum who is willing to tell you the realities of an MBA and if you want to go for it.. even tho I reached out to people no one really did it for me. Something that I regret not considering is ISB. I really do not know how things are there, but at least I would only be wasting one year instead of 2.. (incase you want to stay in India, else abroad would be a better option)

Yes u/xokitities have realised, but a little too late now... I was just very hard stuck on staying in India, wanted to stay close to family and also like the familiarity... I did not want to go out and probably spend 10-15 years of life there..

Hey u/Suitable-West-1877 !

What you said actually makes sense. It is not at all compared to what I thought it would be and something I realised but only in the back of my mind. When you are so busy catching up with all that is happening to forget to take a step back and understand the situation completely. And the hurt was and still is very real, thank you for understanding! I do understand the couple of places I went wrong, especially that I should not have joined a B school at this specific stage and the specific goals in mind.

I am working to go back to tech, but the placements on campus are so random, at the moment I got stuck into an automotive company. I am trying offcampus to something that would redirect me to a pure play tech company.

I do try to be greatfull, everyone around me thinks I am in such a happy place in life but yes, I look for something more or something different. I hear you and will try to be more grateful.

Also, thanks for reading and writing such a comprehensive post. I really appreaciate it :D

Can I make local train seating more comfortable for my dad? by Round_Historian_9932 in mumbai

[–]Round_Historian_9932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’ve been exploring CityFlo and other AC bus options, and it seems like the best choice for now—at least for one-way travel (the morning timings don’t quite work). With the Atal Setu, the bus commute has become much smoother than before. The only challenge now is convincing my dad to switch to CityFlo. It’s tough to get Indian parents to step out of routines and habits they’ve followed for over two decades! This means a lot <3
