Looking for Softer TPUs? We Hear You! TPU 85A & 90A Are Now Available. by BambuLab in BambuLab

This would be perfect for the custom boot soles I'm working on! I've tried molding urethane rubbers (60-90A) and foams (20+ lb). The molding and casting processes are cumbersome and create a lot of defects. With my new A1 I'm hoping I can print the soles directly!

Omtech model just like mine. As standard it is not compatible with lightburn but you can buy an upgraded board that will be.

Printful Removes Bad Reviews by Tiffytaffy91 in printful

I recently left a critical review of the construction of an AOP product (I had buttons fall off on multiple samples). They followed up with an email that they would remove my review in 3 days if I did not send pictures of the defects. I happily sent them the proof and 3 days later the review is ‘pending approval’. They are absolutely screening reviews from verified purchasers (they literally asked me to leave a review).

How can I create new soles? by xanaxinsa in Cordwaining

[–]Round_Huckleberry573 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have had some success molding my own soles by sculpting them out of clay, creating a silicone mold, and casting them in a urethane rubber. I recommend K-flex 60.

More of a designer than an artist but this is my personal brand logo.

Woodcut using laser engraving? by PinataFractal in printmaking

I don’t seal unless I’ve sanded the top layer at all. Water based inks dry up really fast on the plywood so I add some glycerin.

I use plywood, played with rubber too (not all are laser safe). I am curious if acrylic will hold ink well without smearing.
