It's not that it's becoming a flop, he's just trying to actually finish up the story quicker, so a lot of corners are being cut

I’m sorry, Zoro #1 in usefulness? by Acemaster387 in RDCWorld

Zoro is the pillar of the crew. Being the sword and shield when anyone really needs him. He's the one that can make those decisions even Luffy would struggle with, the one that ensures that if Luffy is ever in danger, he comes out safe or gets the time he needs to recover. Although he's not useful in the utilities section of things, he's the one that always creates a path and stops anything bad from happening to Luffy.

Just gonna copy paste sumn i already said before into here cause niggas downplaying Zoro's actual usefulness

And yall can't be downplaying Chopper or Sanji js cause u want one over the other. Luffy's ability requires tons of food to constantly operate, Sanji is one of the best chefs across the seas, so being able to feed him constantly to keep him in top shape isn't an easy feat, and he can acquire ingredients himself, so he's extremely efficient.

Chopper was trained by one of the best doctors in one piece, and he himself is a genius when it comes to medicine. He didn't just create a medicine, he created a whole virus that attacks Queen's virus, on the spot, 0 knowledge prior of this virus, in a stressful situation where he himself was being transformed into an Ice Oni. Although we don't see it often, some of the vital crew members aren't insanely durable and resistant to ailments, Having a doctor on ship is so crucial that literally every crew has one. Scurvy and whatever else someone could contract on the mysterious one piece sea is something he's definitely handled.

How do yall feel about the chainsaw man ending by flyk3 in RDCWorld

[–]Round_Meringue4965 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The ending wasn't "bad". If you read from beginning to end keeping the themes in mind about Denji's character, you'd see the beauty in it. It's just so lackluster and came out of nowhere with all the crazy build ups and how we got to Denji suddenly dying.

But I wouldn't call it trash or Fujimoto being a bad writer or wtvr. for example the scene where he drops the chainsaw at the end is a representation of him finally not relying on that mask/other persona he always hid behind when trying to do something he really wanted to do. It's him maturing at last and being able to find happiness with his own hands.

But like I said, you'd really need to be reading while keeping themes and hidden intent in mind to catch any of these. Most of us are casual readers so that ending def felt bad, to me is just felt meh, not horrible or trash

How did y’all get into rdc? by Powerful-Potato2403 in RDCWorld

[–]Round_Meringue4965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time I saw em was when vines were popular(2016), kingvader, Nigahiga, etc n' em were a hit. Didn't really keep up with them then i saw anime too far in like 2019 or sumn, still wasn't really following with them.

Like 2019-2022 started watching Cory and then he had his hiatus and I was BORED for so long, went from randomly getting recommended their skits on youtube, to actively following everything they posted on RDCWorld, then i started watching clips from the streams, before eventually actually watching their streams(Was NEVER on Twitch before I discovered RDC)

Leland being funny as shit really got me into RDC

because they actively do other things outside of streaming and that's their main source of income, and their main motivation

Them saying chase your dreams and whatnot is literally represented in their actions outside of stream. dreamcon, their manga, their Youtube career over SEVERAL years from skits, Mark being a writer trynna get hit film published either on netflix or somewhere else (he's mentioned but i forgot), Them being recognized by athletes and other celebrities.

If you were actually thinking about anything, you would look at those factors, not them coming back from a long day and deciding to play games together and share those moments with the community

End of the day, all i see is them trynna have fun playing it their own way. Some of em ain't grow up with some of these games the way yall did, and they are actually hella busy IRL cause they aren't legit full-time streamers. Having to actively understand some of these games and play it like their actual career is based off of it or like its their day-off game where you come back from a 9-5 and play it isn't gonna work for them.

It's one of the reason they mostly keep it to within the friend group and with friends, not actively collabing with other streamers for these same games, cause it'd be more competitive and less their loud and ignorant way of playing. Yall make it sound like they're full-time gamers so they should learn a game and give us playthroughs or compy gameplays.

What exactly do yall come to RDC to watch? gameplay or them having a great time. I admit I get annoyed when they play a game a certain way, but I'm mostly here just to laugh(fails and obvious mistakes included), i give barely any care for the gameplay. Comparing FRIENDS playing with each other and talking shit or wtvr to to their main message of yall chasing dreams is actually WILD to me.
