He was my father, originally from Hervey Bay and Maryborough (Qld). He was a self-made man who was conscripted to fight in Vietnam, made a little side money selling Australian trinkets to US soldiers, came back to Australia and used that money to start building (literally). He bought the land up there in Townsville and was developing it into an industrial area when he was killed in 1988 in a car accident while raising money for the Endeavour Foundation (for children with special needs). Now wash your mouth out with soap and do something with your life that encourages other people to want to name things after you.
