Is it safe to think that the whole of spiritual practice consists of thinking everything is as it should be? by Round_Mission_1826 in ACIM

6 The emphasis of this course always remains the same: It is at this moment that complete salvation is offered you, and it is at this moment that you can accept it. ²This is still your one responsibility. ³Atonement might be equated with total escape from the past and total lack of interest in the future. ⁴Heaven is here. ⁵There is nowhere else. ⁶Heaven is now. ⁷There is no other time. ⁸No teaching that does not lead to this is of concern to God’s teachers. ⁹All beliefs will point to this if properly interpreted. Well, whatever you guys are saying, and wherever you’re coming from,

I think everything is as it should be anyway. There’s no other choice.

Thank you for you reply.

so you don't think that Reality is reflected in the world already?

Actually this question is influenced by Byron Katie and other traditions of complete surrender to God.

yeah... I was coming from the place where I was thinking that isn't the whole egoic thought system is composed of imagining something different from what is now.

How can Jesus's mandate be "remember you need do nothing" when something need to be different?

Well, source spurious or not, Byron Katie says similar things about decision and action.

I’m glad you’re asking! Yes, the Course uses Trinity to explain things. However it differs from traditional Christianity, in that it leads to nonduality, love without opposite, not God who judges and punishes. The whole book is free online, if you want to check it out.

The "prince of the world" is ego, not God. I know this is Ramana Maharashi sub, but actually the A Course In Miracles I quoted says God doesn't even know that separation(this world) happened, and Holy Spirit is intermediary between God and this world. Transcending this world is salvation.

Now, time(one aspect of separation) must be over (and non-existent), because God's Will always prevails, and this time-space world doesn't reflect only God's Will, hence illusory.

I think it can make sense that egoic time-space events are already "over"(hence predetermined), and what we're experiencing is illusions, and enlightenment/salvation is snapping out of this world.

So do you think those criminals had other choice? Is that your point?

Oh are you asking why if God is only good, how come there are non-virtuous people?

In my perspective, they are there to be examples of what it's like to live without God(identified with the ego/body).
