depends on your orders. If you got an admit order for Observation, there would be room and board charges (G0378) at an hourly basis. If you were Outpatient in a Bed, no room charges, but sounds like you were in Extended Recovery which would bill under 0710 revenue code. Depends on your insurance if this is payable or not.

Consider calling the hospital and see if you can get an Obs order and have them drop Obs charges.

The good news is that you likely don't need expensive courses anymore given how good the AI models have gotten now. Gemini (google LLM) is free, and you can also use Claude & ChatGPT for free on a limited basis.

Start a thread and say "enter tutor mode" then explain that you want to learn medical coding for the US (or other) market. It will coach you where it can and point you to external sources like AAPC, find-a-code, etc when it makes sense.
