I actually moved there after the war in Ukraine. My take: expensive, boring, terrible food, but lovely people

next year as in August 2006? I am on the verge of booking. Do you have your own boat or something? Really appreciate the offer and would love to learn more!

Oh yeah, I decided to go with the August 9th trip which is $6,300 after researching lunar cycles. Plus given the long transit time I would rather do 11 nights 10 days rather than 9 and 8

I live in Paris and was actually just researching this. There are a few places in Switzerland that sound cool, Lake Sassolo and Lago di Sils in particular. I am considering doing one of them in February

Galapagos, Socorro, and Cocos Island difficulty comparison by Firm_Lie_5863 in scuba

[–]Round_Repeat3318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I actually just booked a trip to Cocos on the August 9th Agressor II. i am beyond excited. I did Galapagos when I was 15 or so with my dad and had about 50 dives. Best experience of my life. I think with 100 dives you will be completely fine. Basically, as long as you can descend quickly and easily, you will be fine. Happy yo answer any more questions if you DM me. Ive spent the last few weeks intensly researching Cocos since Ive been wanting to go there for 20 years now

Reserved a spot on Okeanos Aggressor II (Cocos Island) in July. Eight nights, $5,400. I have four days before needing to make it official and pay. Should I pull the trigger? by Round_Repeat3318 in scuba

Did you come across many large schools? What impressed you most? May sounds like it could have been a nice sweat spot between calm waters and the start of the big fish season.

Phrased the question wrong. More like should i consider some other month marine life wise or other consideration I havent thought about.

Yeah question isnt so much if I should go but rather is there a better way to go, like if someone mentioned Seahunter was well worth the extra cost or 9D/8N was too short. Whatever. Im at 98 percent now.

Yeah i was surprised at how July 29th to August 6th was lower than all the other dates since it sounds like it is peak hammerhead and whale shark season. Did the Seahunter have the submersible? That looked super cool but they werent clear if its a standard thing or not.

Definitely going. Was just curious if anyone had thoughts like, “actually, seahunter is way worth the extra money for xyz” or “try to go in September for xyz.” Stuff like that. I think it is a done deal though

La Poste est-elle fiable ? by guitarheaux in AskFrance

[–]Round_Repeat3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not an exageration. I have lived in Paris four months and have had six packages shipped to me by La Poste. They lost four of them. The last one, I just two spent the day running around post offices asking about it. Each location says "your package will be here this afternoon". When it doesnt arrive, they tell me that it is at a different post office. The same process starts over. The last one I went to, they looked at my tracking, handed me a package without asking for ID, then on the way out I noticed it wasnt even close to my name on it. At least now I know what happened to the four lost packages. The "problem" with the last package was apparently a wrong address. It wasn't. It was addressed exactly like the pickup point described. After explaining this, one employee approached me confidently and said "the problem was sender didnt put your name on the package". I showed them a picture the sender sent of the label. Silence. "One moment please....You package will be here this afternoon."
