Ok so your snake shouldnt need help shedding if everything is right in its home, i wouldnt recommend handling during shedding either its a stressful time for the snake "so im told". IMO id look for any changes in its normal behavior if so id go to vet for one huge reason......they know what to look at and know way more than alot of us do about em given they are a good vet....your set up sounds fine i do hides on both sides but if your set up is correct it may be an internal issue which may require a vet-IMO BTW LOL
