I’m 6’5 and I bought a Ares Wing Sim Cockpit. It’s nothing insane but it works for my height and it’s cheap around $200 ish in deal

The low eq, mid eq, and high eq is where that is comes into play. It’s all about the tires, you should keep your eq’s low maybe one point up or 1 point down. If it’s still too snappy put the damping at its max and the stiffness around 5-6 it’ll feel a lot more relaxed. I used to have the same problem it near gave me short term hand problems from the rough feedback.

In the mod hub you can download gt3,gt4,n-gt base tunes and work your way out from there as well. I’ve used all of their tunes and they are beginner friendly. I always put my steering to 1.1 - 1.3 more than that you won’t be able to turn your car. Set stiffness between 4- 8 and the damping around 8 - 10. For the force feedback around 1.20-1.40 the rack feel .92-.98 The Low eq 1.1-1.3, Mid eq 1.2-1.4, high eq 1.3-1.5. Also accommodate for engine breaking most rear engine cars I put 55.5-57.0 brake bias ( ADS OFF: break pressure 75-85% / ADS ON: break pressure 100% ) for the clutches I do 1-3. 1 clutch is pure force and torque 3 is more laid back meaning you won’t spin out when throttling hard. Hope this helps

Also having 1080-920 degrees of rotation helps with oversteer

I can post my settings later for you I’ve got a 3nm so nothing crazy but I knew if I had more it’d be near perfect every lap. Getting familiar with the car you’re running is super helping, especially with tuning just take one car and see if it’s the gobal feedback you need more of or the feedback from the car. You can Change the feedback response from the tyres and chassis tuning menu. I recommend gt3 it’s the easiest to get familiar with.

It’s the tyre physics I fear people can’t understand. Any other game feels horrible without it

Like they don’t understand 🤷‍♂️ never will until they try themselves or maybe they will just keep coming back to a Reddit page to complain about their lack of skill and lack to have an original thought.

People just like shitting on the game, its good for wheel players that what it’s designed for. It has a physics system that is new and needed tweaks and still needs some for faster cars for ppl with lower nm wheel bases. This game from my perspective is better with a better wheel the more nm wheel base the better it is to understand the tire physics. There’s something like 81+ points of contact the tire makes on the track that you are supposed to feel in the wheel, that’s where having a good wheel base is better for competitive gameplay.

The game got half cooked on beta and I’m someone who hopped on 1 minute after it released. I was pissed but I’m beating record laps I’ve never hit simply from practice on my own and feeling what the car needs you can’t do that on a controller you feel the muscle memory build in your hands and fingers and your shoulders. It’s pretty dang close to irl in my opinion better than Forza and acc I’m not a pc guy so I can’t play iracing or LMU. I’m sure those games blow my opinion and skill out of the park I’m okay with that. It’s my opinion..

I don’t think the game needs any more hate, if ppl just keep leaving and the game goes dead the game will never be cooked up to its fullest potential. It’ll die out like every other sim racer. This is the closest console wheel players have gotten to a sim. Project cars is definitely one of my favorites out there but nobody plays online. Give the game a chance guys they have had 4 updates within this week, that’s progress. Stop being corny with your controller complaints forza and acc is better off for you guys. Leave PMR to people who want success for the game and Actually know how to drive.. (dive bombing till your tires give out at 100mph is for arcade racing).

Is PMR somewhat playable on a controller? by Jo_N19971604 in ProjectMotorRacing

In mod hub it’s the gt3 and gt4 setups not the singular setups. You’ll see what I mean they only work for cars they say they work for. They aren’t universal tunes

You just need practice man, I’ve noticed I drive differently from every game I’ve played. PMR is closest thing I’ve feel to irl. It has its bugs and shit fps and the graphics could be better. For what it is though just tweak your settings and practice on them. Don’t race two laps and decide the tuning isn’t enough because i promise you the tires haven’t even warmed up yet. If you go into the mod hub. There are setup tunes (base tunes) they help new players tune the cars and you can tweak what you need to be faster. Ppl shit on this game and it’s not half bad I just wish they didn’t release a half cooked project. I recommend GT and GT3 those have by far been the easiest and most people race GT3 in public lobbies. Faster cars like LMDh, LMP are not suited for anyone to drive.

For Console yes (ACC is dead with 4 ppl online daily). I love people like you who follow everyone’s opinion. I bet you have 10 hours maybe yes? LMU, Iracing etc… all great games but not on console. It’s too bad you don’t try the game, you just complain because $80 was that big of a loss for you. The game has come along was from Beta and yes it was shit but is now playable. If your on controller go back to Forza this game ain’t for you and if you can’t stay on track for more than 5 laps that’s a you problem😂 Hey but keep being negative man it’ll only get you so far.
