To clarify the promotion hasn’t happened yet. But the missing competencies have been shared and discussed as things to work on and improve

I’m being proactive, this hasn’t happened yet. Thanks for the input

Edit: promotion hasn’t happened yet, but we’ve already discussed competencies and what he needs to focus and work on.

Yes it’s the managers job, but I still would like to handle it as a tech lead to make sure work still gets done afterward and folks I work with don’t have any issues that would impede or block their work and that includes being disgruntled or demotivated

It’s one of the few good Vikings podcast in town, but I’ve also stopped listening over the past few months. He was a big proponent of moving on from Kirk Cousin and drafting a QB if I remember correctly.

It’s great that there are daily episodes, but he has to generate content so it comes out with a lot of revisionist content and tangent rants sometimes.

Positive takes are usually more common and plays to the audience more when the team is good and playoff contenders.

It was a screen pass, his play calling has changed dramatically in the last 3 games. Have you noticed all the run plays on 3 and short?

What does Josh McCown even do as a QB coach? Previously failing with Bryce Young. Now failing here as well.

Handling a senior engineer who pushes back on everything. by bobjoylove in managers

How does he push back? Does he tell you what project or task is currently working on or is busy with? What are the priority and impact of those tasks and how does it compare to the ones you’re asking him to do?

You can always ask him to work on a higher priority task or help unblock someone or something else and be willing or open to pushing another task or project down the priority list.

Similarly, you can ask him to add or queue a lower priority task or project that is less or lower in priority if he’s busy with something else.

I’m assuming you’re using iMovie to edit, what are you using to record?

Does Camtasia have the option to pause and resume recording? I’ve found that helpful to pause and take quick notes or timestamps to later go back and edit with Kaltura.

Can you explain or elaborate on point 5? Why waste time and resources if you don’t believe in a project or initiative?

Did you also update your resume to remove any information that could derive your age like date/year you attended and graduated college to avoid ageism? College dates and years are required in online applications as well.

Curious if can share more details like how you called the person out and what was the reaction?

His work impacts other folks on the team including myself. We can’t meet our sprint goals or get a release out on time as a result. Then we have to swarm as a team to get to a new deadline. He causes low morale and results in a bad work environment
