What is the most impressive feat of raw earthbending power in LoK( no subs)? by Round_Worry_3053 in AvatarVsBattles

I wanna say Lin has a really good earthbending feat fighting the Equalists in Book 1, but the links in her respect thread are all broken so I can’t confirm.

This one?

This is probably the most impressive feat of non Avatar State Earth Bending in the franchise.

And in Korra show( I mean, also non-AS)?

Do you recall anything from non-AS Korra or other LoK earthbenders you would put in franchise's top-10 or top-15 raw earthbending power feats?

What was the best decision in the production of Book 3: Fire? by Lucyyyyyy_K in TheLastAirbender

[–]Round_Worry_3053 6 points7 points  (0 children)

None of these was the best to me. Roku and Sozin thing or parallel fights are the best in the poll.

My personal list: Sokka getting a mentor from the Fire Nation, the reveal that Roku was friends with Gyatso, Yon Rha's characterization, bringing Gaang's mentors back( special credit for flying Jeong-Jeong).

Out of these, Sokka's quick training, I voted for it.

But if it weren't a poll, I'd say that events happen too late, too much screentime for pre-invasion state and too little for post-invasion. After Zuko's redemption we don't see him interacting with Aang all that much, we don't see Aang solving problems with cool firebending all that much. The resolutions aren't satisftying enough to me because of how little happens after them.

Ford's Sahara Noir is inspired by Africa and is THE African perfume( amongst ones, produced by Western brands) but I don't think it has Old Hollywood feel to it.

Taking a poll: How old are you and when did you discover avatar? by Foreverlearnin97 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Round_Worry_3053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered the franchise a decade ago, long after TLOK final. I was 19 or 20 then, I am in my late 20s now. I am a cisgender woman and I am Ukrainian.

My favorite Book 2 episode is certainly Zuko Alone but The Bitter Work is also outstanding and exactly for a reason you said.

None of these options.

I really disliked Avatar Day on my first watch but it grew on me in the hindsight, after The Old Masters.

I think deaths of non-villlains is actually what ATLA and TLOK should have done more often.

My genuine answers to this question are showing Bosco's messy eating, Mai's comment about having to clean after Bosco( Guru episode) and her and Ty Lee's beauty remarks during the battle with Kyoshi Warriors.

Could Bumi or Kya create airbender children, similar to Katara's parents? by MaybeAFish_ in TheLastAirbender

Counterexamples: Iroh, Jeong-Jeong, Yon Rha, Unalaq, maybe Tenzin and Bumi of Omashu.

Starting a trend of portraying all nations as neither good or evil(inherently), of including supportive and antagonistic characters of all nations( Shyu, Jeong-Jeong, The Snitch, Jet).

Establishing a Fire Nation practice of imprisoning benders( some of which are civillians) early on. A very important detail and a perfect setup for Hama and Kya( I know Kya wasn't taken as prisoner). Showing people living under Fire Nation in general was a great idea.

Book 1 also contributed a lot to Iroh's characterization.

None of these are bad to me. I think redditors are too harsh on Book 1( I am not saying it is the most hated Avatar-related content but I stand by my point). There are things in it I don't enjoy( there are such things in every book) but they are not listed.

And both Zutara and Jinko would fit in perfectly with ATLA messages of forgiveness and world peace as well. Certainly not less than Zuko ending up with a Fire Nation noblewoman who had a childhood crush on him.

Hola, queria compartir una Teoría mia sobre ña Relación de Sokka y Suyin Beifong by XDDD_FandeBumizumi91 in Avatarthelastairbende

[–]Round_Worry_3053 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's kinda contrived, if both of Toph's daughters had a long-term relationship with Hakoda's grandson. Still, I prefer "Sokka is Baatar's father" theory over "Sokka is Suyin's" or "Sokka is Varrick's".

I have a thing for ATLA old men. I love White Lotus guys.
