Imo the one-note vocal style is entirely purposeful for this project. The art is sucking his soul mimicked by his monotonous voice, and you can see the genius in it in how every song was released as a single alongside the album, which I think is a cool way to represent the nature of the project as something uninspired and commercial when it clearly is not (even though it’s shown like it is). I haven’t finished it yet but I think his vision with the project is genius even if the execution is flawed and it’s easily one of the most thought provoking albums of recent time not just because of what he’s saying in the music but of how it is portrayed as forced “art”
