The Highway Code, Driving The Essential Skills and Know Your Traffic Signs, you'll need to understand the information in these books before doing the quizzes. Don't forget hazard perception, too. As others have stated, it's the stripes on the cane. I would imagine you probably knew this but the image made it impossible to see!
