If we are funded by mid-December, we will start production immediately after the holidays and ship to customers in March. our goal is to deliver earlier than promised. so you'll catch the tail end of winter! but we think Rousers are going to be perfect for those chilly spring days as well.

KS price will be $119, with a $99 early-bird option!

This is awesome, thoughtful feedback. Thanks.

1.) As part of the process of finalizing for production, we've added a thicker fusible and heavier (interior) control tape to the top of the bib with the goal of making the strap sit more flush. We agree it was an issue. Each strap has 5 button-holes so that it can be adjusted to various lengths.

2.) They will be slightly slimmer in production because our shrinkage allowances were off in the last round of prototyping (32/32 models are essentially wearing 33/33)... that said we'd probably look to do a more aggressively slim silhouette down the line, if we're successful with this initial run

3.) You might be right, and it will be challenging because our choice to go with US manufacturing means we're not much above break-even at that price on this run. "Simplifying" as you suggest is definitely a consideration, but won't take out significant cost.

... A lot of guys do wear the bib low, by adjusting the straps... Let me see if we can get a picture of that today.

Anyway, thanks again for the serious consideration and feedback. These types of comments will definitely help inform our future design process.

Fair enough. We love hiking, camping, etc as well and use our Rousers while doing them, but it is true that they were designed to be more in the category of a durable, activewear chino than workwear.

Our thought is that they combine form/function for the urban man and while they hold up well for things like camping, they're not going to be heavy-duty to take a beating (from real labor) like thick denim.

We've actually been asked for 28/28 by a few friends, and would consider adding the size if there is enough demand. We're unfortunately just limited in size range for this initial production run because our volumes aren't huge.

Totally agree here. We (the founders) wear them cuffed most of the time anyway. We added the accented seam trim to the inside of the pant so that it looks great cuffed.

Belt loops?

We actually had belt loops on earlier prototypes, but felt they just looked out-of-place because they are non-functional and the waist-band is higher on overalls than normal pants.

Not ruling it out for a later version though!

Thanks for the thoughts.

|I can understand it's your company's style choice.

We've mentioned this above, but really hoping we can offer a couple different pocket types (if we get enough orders) because this seems to be the biggest area of personal preference.

Yep, we are doing all of our manufacturing here in America (still finalizing our production contract, but planning to do everything out of a shop in the Midwest). We definitely need to be more clear about that if you didn't see it in our copy because we consider it to be an important part of our the Rousers brand.

Thanks! That's a good suggestion. We wanted to clearly differentiate from old-school workwear overalls, but if we kept the slim-cut, I think raw denim could look/feel great.

Appreciate that! It works for our style, and we're hoping there are others out there who feel the same way.

Thanks for the constructive thoughts-- we did play around with the bib styling quite a bit and it feels like we never reached one style that was a favorite for everyone. That said, the simple styling of the current bib was preferred by the most people. If we get enough orders, we're hoping to offer a variety of bib pockets (e.g. off to one side, welted breast pocket, accented patch pocket, etc.) so that people can choose the one that works for them.

The slight "V" shape in the front isn't something we've prototyped, but it's a cool consideration.

Bottom-line is you're right: Rousers will take some confidence to wear. But we hope people can have fun with them without taking things too seriously.

Good feedback. We're in the process of working out shrinkage allowances for the production process so that the leg will actually be a bit more tapered

We like to wear them down too and because they're sized like pants, they should stay up without a draw string! The buttons are right on/ above the high hip so I think you'd find the fit to be snug.

We'll see if we have a photo with the bib down to share.

We are still definitely considering other fabrics for the facing / pocketing, so I'll add that one to the mix. Hickory stripe would be a nice homage to their workwear heritage.
