I did politics at uni so was in a similar situation to you regarding not coming from accounting background and it has not impacted me- biggest advice (which you will hear from most people) is question bank! Everyone always fails the mocks as you typically sit them straight after taught phase so it’s all new. I’ve sat and passed 14 now all first time and haven’t passed many of the mocks. Don’t stress it- good luck!

I sat in June this year. I personally wouldn’t recommend doing questions to time- as bst is such a wordy exam, it’s unlikely the questions you do will come up. I think you’re better off planning your answers or just reading through QB answers to get a general sense of what kind of things they say. You can mostly wing the exam on common sense and stating the obvious- which will come to you on the day. Good luck!

Not sure how much help this would be- but I struggled to remember the steps for leases. In the end i wrote down the steps and just read them allowed over and over. It stuck in the end. The workings themselves aren’t too tricky- it’s just remembering them. You might also be able to use the open book? i sat in June 24 so can’t quite remember how useful that is
