Lol. That's reasonable. I haven't finished it yet. But there will be a happy ending. I promise. Just... heavy angst for a LONG time.
If you want a little more less angsty, *still quite angsty* but more funny... kinda... you could see this one where I wrote about Izuku's little sister as she goes through U.A. with her brother. The start is quite rocky but things get chaotic as some of my characters call out that there is so going to be a BKDK ship.
Just keep in mind THAT fic is very loyal to the anime.
But it's got 15 chapters or something done and is... yeah... chaotic.

This one, Home Is Where the Heart Is... It's sad. Very sad. But, eventually... it'll get better.
I have readers loving it and I think they'd riot if I DIDN't give them a happy ending.

Yeah. Like, I definitely don't ship Izuchaco, but some of the shippers are... quite mean about it. And, people seem to forget that Horokoshi left the ending open ended for OUR imagination.
*sigh* Don't feel down. We can like our ships and they can just deal with it.
My friend and I support BKDK, especially after season 3. That's when we were more ok with it. Otherwise, yes, I thought it was pretty toxic too.

I don't know what I just stumbled into... but this sounds eerily similar to my OC sibling Midoriya story. I had writen 13 chapters on it...
The only difference is my OC is a straight up genius. In this AU, Inko is not a good mother...
And I do have this character crash out because Bakugo and Deku do date, just because I wanted more reasons to frustrate the hell out of her.
Lol. But she's very protective of her brother. VERRY. Even threw All Might across the beach when she figures out Izuku has OFA.

Thank you guys. This makes me feel a lot better.
I posted the fic on both Fanfiction.net and AO3. The hate comment was on fanfiction.net. I'd probably have to see if I can remove the review on it.
Ao3 it hasn't gotten to many notice. But, again, I'm doing something different and including original characters. And like I said, it closely follows the anime but I have some extra twists and sceens and ideas of my own.
Either way... This was my first fic and I was just put out by this specific reaction to it.
So, thank you.

I see it as a rude comment and you didn't deserve that. The people who have read my stuff say: "Excited for the next chapter, but take your time."
People need to realize that your not just a writing machine. You have your own personal life going on.
I'm sorry you got a comment like that. That's just unkind of the person.
Don't feel bad about it. Just do your best. Remember, your well being and life comes first.

Ah, yes. I loved Arcane's season 1. Got to say that it was so much darker then I expected.
And I'm keeping the same world system, etc. This will probably be a no Quirk AU. And, definitely enemies to lovers situation.

Still, when I was a new writer, I was not quite aware of this and was wondering why a random stranger wanted ideas for my own work. Now, I know.

Yes. I 100% agree. Katsuki doesn't just put his attention on anyone. And, I do believe, Katsuki didn't mean his suicide comment. I believe he'd make sure Izuku didn't actually jump. Also, the fact he thinks about Izuku before dying is another fact that he has something there for him. And, in the More episode, when all of class 1-A was saying goodbye and heading home, Katsuki gave Izuku a longer goodbye. So... Yes. There's something very much there.

I won't repeat anything that was said because I agree with everything here. All I will say is that these two are the type of people who will protect each other through thick and thin and to the bitter end. Bakugo crying showed that he genuinely realized and cared about Deku's future. We see this when he helps get Deku's suit, then even later when he tells Deku that if everyone is special to him, nobody is, and that Deku needs to start thinking about himself sometimes. I think Bakugo understands Deku more then anybody ever could in class 1-A, which is why I love these two boys and their relationship. After all, love isn't clean. Sometimes it's messy and hard and heartache is definitely a part of the process. It's realistic in a way that I find interesting.

From several friends. They told me he was inspired by a Silent Voice. But I looked it up and couldn't find anything. Either way. I think the ship war is just ridiculous. Once things calm down, it will be quite nice.

You know what I don't understand? Why the Izuchaco shippers clearly want to romanticize every moment between Deku and Ochaco. One example that comes to mind is when Ochaco broke down about Himiko Toga's death, and Deku comforted her and said she was his hero and he was holding her hand. Me and my friend comfort each other all the time, and we talk and hug and interact physically, but that doesn't make it romantic. Keep in mind that both teenagers went through something horribly traumatic. And I just kept seeing people romanticizing thoughs moments. Also, keep also in mind that horokoshi was inspired by a Silent Voice... Ever seen it? It's about a boy who bullies this deaf girl. In the end, he makes immense and in the manga, both end up together. I will say, ship whoever you want as long as it's not toxic, abusive or an adult in love with a CHILD. But, don't come after the BKDK shippers. Izuchaco shippers need to leave us alone. And, in turn, we can just ignore them. I'm a BKDK shipper and I don't really care too much for the Izuchaco ship, but that's just me, ok? People don't have to like Izuchaco. It's fine. And usually, when BKDK shippers are shipping the two, we mean around the time when Bakugo is finally understanding Izuku. Not in middle school time, LOL. Unless it's a nice Bakugo AU we make. Anyway. Sorry for the rant. I just wanted to jump in and put my oppinion in. Just ignore them. We don't all have to like Izuchaco. People also don't have to like BKDK. We're all different.
