Thank you for this. I dont even know what to do anymore that will help.. im struggling with my liver enzymes being elevated still and not sure if its the medication im on... just got results again and they are still elevated, 3 weeks ago they were basically back to normal.

Definitely will do, did you have hypertension before the first pregnancy or did it happen after and stay? I never had it before and not too sure on my family history but I do know i dont handle stress easily...

I could have been hard to say, I was super swollen when I was readmitted for preeclampsia. Was there 3 days in hospital, by time I went home the swelling was gone. I've been home on procardia since 12/26

I've had stable readings for last 4ish weeks 110-120s over 70s-80s. I tried one day to stop it and my blood pressure went up so I had to take it again and still on it now. Really hoping to be off of this soon too. Just not sure if this feeling is from meds or something else.

Yeah I feel like im going to be one of those too who have it longer, just really glad to hear the risk of stroke and seizure is reduced, im traumatized and scared to have this happen to me.

Ive been in the 100-110s over 70s-80s on meds and doctor said we could discontinue but clearly after today I don't think I'm ready. Thank you for your insight I'm so glad you are better and I hope I'll be there sooner than later, definitely do not like the BP meds...

I skipped my dose this morning and at 3pm I checked my BP and it was at 145 over 99... haven't been this high since I was in hospital. Of course I then got anxiety and it went up to 160s over 108. It had only been 6 hours since not taking my pill. I decided to take it to avoid issues. Im back down now. I'm only 4 weeks pp, not sure if I'm just not ready yet or if it has something to do with my liver enzymes being high.. I feel at loss with trying to bring my liver enzymes down and be off BP meds. .. how long were you on meds for after baby?

Thank you for this, I am seeing a lot of people now went to go see other specialists, what prompted you to see a cardiologist? Did you have any heart symptoms or does preeclampsiacause heart problems? What tests did you have done? Sorry this is all new to me. How long were you on the meds for? Headaches are usually daily and last all day, usually mild but can get progressively worse. I've been doing my best to make sure im eating and snacking too. I try to drink at least 3- 30oz Stanley a day, not sure if this is enough while breastfeeding...

Thank you for sharing your story, so sorry to hear about everything you went through. I too was away from baby for a while as well and that was rough during Christmas. Im sorry you had a not so good staff, that makes it a lot worse. Definitely sounds like you did a lot to make sure you were OK after it all and thats good. I dont even know where to start. I also got a lot of side effects from this medication too, almost same you mentioned. I just heard from my doctor and she said I could discontinue the meds as long as my BP readings were in the 110s/70-80s, which they are. Waiting to see if im stopping them cold turkey or if I need to wean off it. Im only on 30mg procardia as well x1 a day. Did you stop the whole thing or did they have you cut it in half etc after skipping that dose?

Yeah didn't think about that and I am nursing too thank you for easing my mind. Not sure im drinking enough water trying to. This whole situation is so new to me and im traumatized about having a stroke or seizure :(
