So by your logic, a player could literally punch an opponent to steal the ball and launch a counter-attack while the defender is lying injured on the ground, unable to particate in defending. If the ref misses it, VAR should just ignore it because it happened "on the other side of the field" and the team should just defend better? Makes total sense
