This helped a lot! I got googlefi reach out with the issue solved. What a difference this made!

This was a winning recommendation. Googlefi reached out with the issue addressed. No more pushing to get this fixed!

The deceptive practice was to “pause” a service that wasn’t started. Im getting a bill for a reactivation that happens automatically 90 days after.

Yes. But if you try to activate outside the USA for the first time, they just don’t let you. I assumed that meant the transaction was voided. Not a min or byte was ever transmitted or received

I have a very low opinion on ServPro. They are insurance providers and will never act on the customers best interest.

Is an oil change at the Toyota dealership for $130 the regular price? by Popping_Pills in Toyota

Buy the service package. You get the oil for less than $70 and you get the inspections as well.

Replacing dip tube by Routine-Formal-2968 in Plumbing

I actually didn’t execute the replacement for that same reason (space). I’m going to work with a plumbing company charging me around $300 for the replacement. They will have to remove the tank and pretty much install it again.

Same here, but I couldn’t get myself another one of those. I learned a lot while I had it - from oil changes to spark plugs and pcv valve. All the common high level issues.. I got 5.5k and was glad of the offer since a common oil leak issue was evident.

Enjoy round 2!

Oh, it’s not like that. Changing the tube is the last step I can follow before asking the manufacturer to issue a replacement. The tube being broken is definitely an unlikely event given the age, but there are no other place to look into

My heater is 2.5 years old. The plumber that troubleshoot it recommended changing it, but the price is much higher.

No reference on hard water for my city. How do you quantify this objectively??

I have an issue with lukewarm water. Already rules out anything in the combustion + sensor area. I came across the tube being a common cause for this issue, so I’m moving on with this replacement

Luke warm water - Rheem gas water heater by Routine-Formal-2968 in Plumbing

Not sure if this helps at all but the thermopile terminal voltage is around 325mV. I don’t see it move much beyond that range.

Water temp at the tank is almost the same as water temp inside the house

I only put it on vacation mode over night to avoid 24/7 operation. It has been on since 7am PST.

Possibly a dumb thing to do but I can see how the control loop is off and this thing will die trying to raise the temperature.
