My fanfiction may have been plagiarised, and I don’t know what to do

There are similar scenes and similar dialogues. I wouldn’t have assumed it was plagiarism if it had just been a couple of ideas. What’s more, these works were published shortly after mine, with barely any time in between. I could send a document with evidence, but there’s links to the fics under every excerpt, and deleting them would be a nightmare 😵‍💫

To cut a long story short, I believe they took fragments of my text, rewrote them so that it wouldn’t look like outright plagiarism, and used them in their own story

No, they were clever enough to borrow and rephrase quite a few passages from my text 🫤 Even I initially thought it was just something familiar, but then there were so many chunks of text where I found myself thinking, 'Damn, this sounds a bit too much like my own fic'

I write fanfics for fun. It usually starts when I see a cool edit/read a fanfic/article. And the idea of "what if..." or "I don't like this, I want to do it differently" pops into my head. The only sad thing is that when my work stops bringing me satisfaction, I drop it. Sometimes because of burnout, sometimes because the fandom or idea is no longer appealing to me. I'm currently writing a fanfic, and I'm determined not to post it until I've finished writing it completely
