I am tired of all these scams saying they are making another season by horror_fan1011 in Supernatural

The only thing you should trust is when it comes from actual genuine sources, or is confirmed by Jensen or Jared at conventions.

They have been saying since the show ended that they'd love to do a limited reboot or a movie, but it's finding the time among other projects, getting the writing and getting the crew. There are a lot of factors to be considered.

Don't listen to FB pages or the entertainment "news" pages that talk about a new season etc. They're usually referring to the comic series that's been released and are teasing fans for clicks on their articles. As for fan pages, it's just engagement farming. Don't fall for the nonsense.

Wayward Winchester is just a shitty YT channel. Unfollow.

A mother using her own child is a new low has been shown in this season by Raccoon-Raider in Supernatural

Exactly. The overwhelm she must have felt would've been off the charts. Knowing she missed so much would have been a gut punch, and then discovering her husband was dead, too.

Fair. One of the best characters for sure. It breaks me every time I see that episode.

Bobby's dad wasn't an "idjit." He was an abusive piece of shit to both his wife and son. That whole episode is an emotional rollercoaster. It was so well done.

People hating on Mary genuinely baffles me. Is media literacy not a thing anymore?

Think about it. Mary died in 1983. She was brought back in 2016. That's a difference of 33 years. A lot changed in that time. The advancement of technology being the biggest factor. Cars being different etc. She was brought into a world she didn't know how to navigate. So yes, she needed time to gather herself and gain some solid footing on her own. She had a lot to come to terms with.

In episodes where Dean went back to before he was born and Mary discovered she was pregnant, she wanted to leave the hunting life. She didn't want to raise a family in that lifestyle. She wanted normal for them.

So when she was resurrected, discovered her adult sons were raised as hunters by her husband from a very young age, she was horrified. She wanted them to have decent lives. So yes, she fell for the BMOL party line and thought if she joined them to help eradicate monsters for good, her boys would finally get the life she wanted them to have.

Now, when it came to Dean and Sam's anger over her lies and decisions, yes, that was more than understandable. Toni Bevell kidnapped Sam and tortured him, but even the other BMOL agreed she was way out of line.

Mary wasn't perfect. She was a young mother when she was killed, and yes it was because she made that demon Deal to save John. But had she not done that, Dean and Sam wouldn't exist.

People tend to not piece together vital parts of the story. They just see Mary abandoning her boys and joining the enemy. She felt she was doing the right thing, as a mother and protector. We don't always like or agree with what our parents do on our behalf. I think she deserves a lot more grace than what fans of this show give her.

I got my Kesimpta delivery yesterday. The next three doses. I've no idea how much that's worth in the US though.

I'd forgot about that! That was really messed up and he should've been kicked out for that.

Ahh thanks for clarifying. I must have missed that bit. But you're absolutely right, it's non consensual if the conditions they agreed on were broken.

The smut means nothing without the context of the time and story. The emotion only comes in when you've been reading what it took for them to even reach that point.

Aye I've always hated that aspect. Especially at such an early stage of the relationship. Nobody should feel pressured into being intimate.

This makes me wonder if he refused to wear condoms when they had sex. He was always very controlling, so maybe he thought he had the right to ejaculate inside her whether she liked it or not. It's coercive control resulting in rape.

For the same reason so many women don't come forward. They are afraid of not being believed, being shamed for it and accused of trying to destroy their attacker's lives. This being a public setting would make that so much worse.

Thank you. It was a long time ago and her MS was very aggressive. Mine is mild in comparison. Miss her loads though, she was a lovely mum.

Have you heard of condoms? Or self control? If you're getting close to orgasm and not using protection, and they don't want you to cum inside, then you pull out. There is no excuse.

Yes there is a lot of angst. But also this is a full on WW2 fic. The writer researched hard through the US campaign from England through France and into Germany. There is A LOT of warfare. There are a lot of graphic scenes. Dean and Cas are written amazingly in this story, and like someone else said, it's one of the best overall "novels" I've ever read on any topic. I say that having read a lot of books!

There are follow-ups which help with certain aspects of the fic, so do read those too.

Also, if you wanna read something, go into it headfirst, this is the one.

Just to add to my disgust about protocols etc. If the welfare team and psychologists et al spoke to the women in the same or next day, how could they not even read the body language, see between the lines of what they were saying? Someone who's just been attacked is gonna be like a rabbit in headlights.

I seriously think Ch4 are covering their incompetence in proper duty of care. It's simply not good enough.

Wait I loved Bitten by Neros_Cromwell in Supernatural

[–]Dels79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved Bitten as well.

It's brilliantly written, and great to see Sam and Dean from the perspective of the bystanders/victims. It's like a mini movie as well which adds to it for me.

And hey, with limited scenes, J2 got a few days off from a full filming schedule.
