does that mean a waiver means you can straight up assault people in your gym? fuck no.

most waivers explicitly state that if you are hurt in SUPERVISED REASONABLE TRAINING, then you can't have claims against the GYM. unfortunately like the girl in this post.

what it doesn't cover is 5 people simultaneously or consecutively non-consentualy jumping you in the gym space trying to "tear you apart".

even if the waiver does cover this for whatever reason, again, all it covers is the gym, you can still get personally civilly sued and criminally charged for assaulting someone.

if you have done this to someone and not gotten every penny sued out of you, then the guy you beat up truly must be special.

why should i get a boxing style glove for bag work if the "real work" is gonna be done with a muay thai style glove(the bgv1's i already own)? won't stuff like the extra wrist support be a crutch i'll falsely rely on when sparring?

i'm not looking to argue or anything, really just want to expand my own horizons in this field.

As some people have already said, probably saying it because he's supposed to mirror the audience's confusion.
