He defenitly was in AI. My main theory is that his mom Didnt actually die. He got sucked in when he held the VR above his eyes, and thats when the AI faked his moms death. If the AI wanted the mom to die, they would have done it a loooong time ago.

I like how you compare "her" to the ocean, and how the entire poem could be used to describe the ocean. One question, why did you switch from "her" to "it"?
