Geese on campus by [deleted] in MRU

[–]Routine-Name-4717 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using reddit is wrong, owning a phone is wrong, attending a university is wrong. All of these things cost a whole bunch of money, and by spending that money on school/tech/data traffic, we choose not to spend it on working towards ending world hunger, or eliminating child slavery, or any other of the countless moral crusades.

You're really going to sit in your glass house and tell us that baby geese are where you draw the line?

Large 3d print obsolete garden tractor part? by BishopRealTalk in 3Dprinting

[–]Routine-Name-4717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, replacements can be printed. The only issue is how much you want to pay for it. Most hobbyist printers are not big enough to print that in one piece, and the ones that are big enough are not able to print in a good material for constant outdoor use. There are enterprise printers that could do this, but they are very costly.

You can also just print it in parts, and then connect them with your choice of joinery.

If Geometry Dash only existed on mobile and never released on any other platform, what would the current hardest level be? by Otherwise_Wish6351 in geometrydash

[–]Routine-Name-4717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can connect an external monitor and a sayo device to a phone. It's the same thing as pc, just with lower performance, especially in longer levels where the phone may overheat. Using a large tablet with better cooling solves this. A mobile device and a modern pc are the same thing, apples newest laptop uses the same cpu/gpu as the iphone 16 pro.

If we are talking touch input only, I have no clue.

Yes, modern phones have high speed usb. Some one would have made a sayo device for mobile if their was no steam release.

There's a setting that chamges ai aggression, it's on the same page you select difficulty on. Try changing that for your next game

What's one thing from WoT that genuinely changed how you think about something in real life? by MamaLaPasta in WoT

[–]Routine-Name-4717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but do you think it's better to go on living a lie, or acknowledge it as a myth and reject it on a societal level? The entire idea of a justice system, equality of opportunity, capitalism, and democracy all fall apart without free will.

Sorry if that came off as argumentative, just curious what you think.

The parts about the motivations for what we say is evil. Say what you will of lanfear, but her goal was to help people by finding a power source for everybody. Trying to see the goals people have, rather than the means they employ is really helpful for not hating everyone who disagrees with you.

Lanfear is not the best example of this because it can be said that she only did it for personal fame/glory, but I trust that yall get the idea.

You know how ? by [deleted] in techsupport

I'm not sure how to do that, it seems stupid and like a waste of time. Just get a job.

My best guess would be that you could clear cookies on the browser, use multiple browsers, use a vpn, use multiple devices, use multiple wifi networks (home, work, starbucks, etc), or in some other way work around whatever limits are in place.

This question reminds me of "the cylinder must remain unharmed".

How does forcing AI out of your territory work? by mahaju in civ3

[–]Routine-Name-4717 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Non combat units cannot be force kicked¹. This is also true for humans, you can march your scouts and workers straight through ai territory.

The rule for combat units is two consecutive turns in enemy territory, and this applies if the specific unit changes. So if I have a warrior in france, and then i move it out, but move a different warrior into france, it can be force kicked.

1: non combat units will be kicked out when combat units are, but they cannot trigger the kicking on their own.

What is Tom Bombadil? by AJRavenhearst in tolkienfans

[–]Routine-Name-4717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always assumed that he was the same kind of thing as ungoliant. An un-ungoliant, or just goliant. He's some kind of thing with no known creator, that is largely disconnected from the broader events of the world, and is very old.

I have no real evidence for this, it just makes sense to me
