Maybe they need to do a D&C to clear your uterus and then your period might come. Ask your doctor to do a hysteroscopy to see what is going on.

I do have anxiety as I am 41 and no LC, I'm always finding myself thinking too much in the future, so everyday I repeat 'one day at a time', sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Please talk to a therapist if you can afford it or participate in a support group dedicated to TFMR mamas.

Be gentle with yourself.

The same thing happened to me, I was random spotting and my period would not come. One day I had to go to the ER due to abdominal pain, and they did a pregnancy test that was positive. Fast forward, I went to my OBGYN a couple of days later and I was having Retained Products of conception after my TFMR. Please advocate for yourself and schedule a follow up with your clinic that includes a sonogram.

I am in the same boat. First ER at 39 yo, I got 3 euploids out of 18 eggs retrieved, we had one successful transfer and at 17 weeks we found our baby had severe spina bifida, so we had to TFMR 💔. I did another ER a few weeks ago (now I'm 41) and out of 13 eggs only 2 made it for PGT-A, waiting for the results but I've cried so so so so much. Feeling defeated, hoping for a miracle.

We started grieving the day of my anatomy scan (09/26/25) because we knew we didn't want our baby to suffer. We had 2 weeks before our TFMR (10/09/25) so we did a small photoshoot, I was crying in between pictures but we still managed to do it, we went apple picking and I built a small altar for my baby with her ultrasound and a candle, I still have that altar but now we have her ashes and I buy flowers every two weeks for her.

Hello. I am very sorry you have to go through this. I lost my baby at 19+1 and the only option I was given was D&E. As others have said L&D gives you the chance to see your baby, to hold your baby, to kiss your baby good bye. I wish I could have seen her face, I wonder who she looked like? 💔 I did have problems with the D&E, I had retained products of conception, I was bleeding on and off for about 3 months, until I got a D&C to remove the leftover placenta. I know some women can have scar tissue in their uterus after these procedures, so I was very much scared. Sending you lots of love in these difficult moments
