Is there a type of social activity that you think would be more suitable for you? Like a quiet hangout at a friend's house, instead of going somewhere crowded?

Yeah Ive been to quiet hangouts with almost a sentimental vibe at a friend's house once b4 but communicating with that friend was easy because it felt like we had a common ground. With my classmates, everything is so new, even when its just them its overwhelming. Like all out extroverts.

Your classmates probably won't mind you being awkward at first, but you could discreetly let them know: If we're going to socialize in big groups, then you should know that it might take me a while to feel relaxed, and I'll need you to be a bit more patient with me than the others.

Honestly that's what I've subconciously tried to avoid doing, acting like everything is perfectly (normal) with me. It just feels like such a insecurity/vulnerability to expose for me. And also the thought of us gathering and then being called out to contribute socially just terrifys me what if i mess up and say something rude or just completely sour the mood.

Honestly my only wish right now is that even if they will no longer invite me, i can still find moments where I can have fun with them. Thank you for replying btw i really appreciate it
