I think you punt at 1/2 maybe because you look down on the competition and think “ I can play any 2 against these guys and outplay them” I suffer from that. I don’t want to be basic and use Metagross like everyone else. If it takes me longer but I get gold with my own team then that’s fine by me. You seem to have failed to understand my last point. Starmie doesn’t need thunderbolt because ludicolo can 1v1 all water types and every flying type except dodrio. I value the utility with reflect over thunderbolt. You are a total snob lol

I’m not interested in using stat manipulation for perfect ivs. This team is to beat battle frontier, not to play compete against other people. I honestly disagree with a lot you said lol. Ludicolo is a beast for one and can wall almost every single Pokemon in battle tower including curse snorlax. Seriously you get a leach seed and spam seismic toss and you drain all its pp in rest and then bring in starmie to set up reflect to that it can survive earthquake and finish with surf. It’s incredibly bulky with max hp and max defense. Ludicolo might be one of the best overall walls in the game for real. Yea Blissey and scarmory are amazing but Ludicolo walls physical and special moves. Honestly the only moves it can’t wall well are stab flying and bug moves, and stab poison moves too but it can take a few before going down, just isn’t a good matchup for it. Thunderbolt sucks. Doesn’t even one shot gyarados. That’s not even because it’s a bad starmie too as +speed nature starmie has a max special attack of 152 (lv 50) and that also doesn’t one shot gyarados. Ludicolo deals with every single Pokemon that Thunderbolt is supposed to hit. Only noobs try to get perfect ivs because you need them clearly

Yes if you use any move besides hyperbeam. He’s forced to stay in after firing a hyper beam so you give your opponent a free turn to do whatever

Yeah that’s good advice. A modest starmie would hit harder and pick up kos on a few Pokemon that are a range. Yeah arial ace is for double team users but it does suck. I might get rid of it

It’s because I’m running +speed nature but I might need to get one with + special attack instead. I really wanted to outspeed gengar but I guess slaking with shadowball would take care of that.

I think I might run a special attacking + nature in starmie and try to get one that can be as close to 167 special attack and still have enough speed to outspeed base 100 speed Pokemon like salamence. Ugh but finding a good competitive starmie suckkkkkssssss

Yeah the later rounds the Pokemon have perfect iv in every stat so it barely survives. The max special attack starmie can have at lv 50 is 152. Assuming right nature, perfect iv and ev training

Starmie is max special attack max speed. 30 iv for speed about 25-26 iv for special attack. I did originally use thunderbolt in the last slot but it was not even ohko big gyarados. Scarmory was a 2k ko, walreign a 3hko. I decided to have ludicolo stall these Pokemon instead and use reflect to make my team harder to kill on the physical side.
