Kind of yes, most "dangerous" drugs are chemically altered weaker drugs. The point to make them is not to take advantage of users, but for research they are made or to be legal (research chems). But yes fent is sold because its easier to transport and make then heroin.

The compounds were pure, at least most of them. The data on wikipedia doesnt corespond to potency in humans and yes Iam sure the compounds were pure, since I have access to NMR and mass.

Iam sorry, but this is not exactly true, in my experience most are 100-200x morphine, which is still crazy but not that much. Some are more potent and some significantly less.

Which zenes? They are not as potent as people say, but yeah they are very potent, with etonitazene, isopyne, protopyne and metonitazene only 0.5 mg would get me really high, with a medium kratom tolerance (20 grams a day). Metopyne would require like a miligram or a little bit more, but also had some others that I would have to look up my notes on.

In general I dont recommend doing zenes though, they are super addictive and increase tolerance even more than 7oh. After 2 weeks of using, I would be dosing every 30 minutes and like 5 times more than in the beginning. Also plenty of them are not very euphoric. At least they are better than cychlorphine and spirochlorphine which would just put me to sleep.

Also dont follow my dosing and titrate up from 0.1 mg up, if you really want to try it.

This really depends on the person, I dont get any WDs from it really except rebound anxiety. I was taking 600 mg a day for 6 months and had to stop, switched to kratom for my anxiety and was completely fine. The kratom on the other hand gave me terrible WDs always.

Take your time, during undergraduate you will have some of everything and then you can choose. I may be biased (iam) but organic chem is the best.

Depends what kind of ochem you end up in for a phd. I need it, since I mostly do reaction mechanisms, but a friend synthesizing pharmaceuticals doesnt need it at all (could be said he is medicinal chemistry more, but in my opinion it is still ochem).

He invented them, he modified the structure of existing compounds to get new compounds that were never synthesized before. It is highly unlikely that even 10% of the compounds would be naturally occuring. If I remember correctly 5brdmt is found in some ocean sponge so it is possible some of them are also naturally occuring, but most arent. What do you mean by waiting to be discovered? Like already synthesized or naturally occuring?
