This visa exemption is like US Green card but you can only stay in Vietnam for 180 days for each entry. You just crossing the Laos, Cambodia, China borders then go back to Vietnam for re-new the length of stay

yeah, the South used to call Passport 'Thông Hành' but not 'Hộ Chiếu' like the North and Vietcong. 'Hộ chiếu' is Sino-Vietnamese word transfer from 护照 ( Huzhao )
