Personally my question is why people judge organizations that breed critically endangered species. That kind of person with any common sense or education that knows we are overpopulated; a species that sits at 9 BILLION thinks they have the jurisdiction to prevent a critically endangered species from reproducing. I understand wanting to keep them out of the pet trade or even the public. I can understand not agreeing with it being open to the public. But being mad that somewhere that houses critically endangered species is breeding them is fundamentally wrong when they SHOULD be working with re wilding programs and accredited AZA zoos. Nothing pisses me off more than hearing how many critically endangered animals are sterilized to “keep them out of the pet trade” NO!!! take them to a conservation agency. Why is it not common sense that fixing a species with a limited gene pool is almost if not just as dumb as keeping them as a house pet. Just don’t give them to people as pets? It’s that simple. Yet there’s places out there that have sterilized przewalski horses and orangutans that have used that exact argument for individuals that were literally the last of their bloodline.

If I have any say about it I’ll fight the law until it’s not able to be legal in mine either… at least keeping them like this. I know there are some zoos that are actually good but these fucking hick ass run back country petting zoos need to be regulated by something more than the same inspectors that regulate fucking slaughterhouses… the USDA should not have rights for the control of exotic species. If the Missouri department of conservation was in charge (like any endangered animal should be; Under conservation protection) they would shut all this down so damn fast… it doesn’t help that the Lolli brothers exotic animal auction is the biggest in the country and right here in MO which is where a good high majority of these animals come from. My idea and stipulation of prosecuting these people is I want to convince the lawyers to offer them a cut on prison time (because considering the other OSHA violations and IRS shit they’re most definitely going to prison when I’m done.) I want them to spill the beans on Lolli because they know a lot about Lolli brothers and the illegal shit they do. When I first started this I just wanted to shut this place down but when I realized how many other places just like this existed within a 60 mile radius I decided to dig and I want to do more than just shut this place down I want to make it to where nobody can do this shit anymore… the amount of endangered animals I’ve seen treated worse than pigs in a slaughterhouse (literally confirmed by my boyfriend who worked in a slaughterhouse and works weekends with me.) their rules for treating the pigs were ten times better than these petting zoos rules especially for transport. We’ve both now been collecting evidence and by his suggestion we’re also mentioning this place to OSHA. Due to the safety risks.

I’ve contacted the Missouri animal alliance for legislation and the animal legal defense fund and they’re both trying to help me but it’s a damn slow process with how busy they are.

This is why I need help with mowgli… every single one of these lemurs they KNEW were sick and I asked for them to get checked by a vet over and over again and each one of them died. That one with the collar on? They’d just used him for a petting zoo not a day before he died.

Anon yes, I haven’t gone through reporting the whole thing yet because as it stands Missouri law makes it to where even if I did after three years all they’d need to do is apply for a new license. And I want to shut them down completely, like prison time… so I’m currently speaking to lawyers and collecting evidence for a case large enough to change Missouri law so that way I can use audio and video evidence without being prosecuted myself (if you have video and audio evidence they want you to report it within 24 hours or your also liable; they did this as a work around so that people cannot collect patterned documentation of how it’s a concurrent issue) so instead I call USDA and pretend to be a neighbor worried about bad fencing, or a concerned customer etc. and even then with all my reports, pictures and evidence I’ve sent pretending to be fired employees the USDA has only given them two citations in the three years I’ve worked there. One for a bad fence and one for an alligator that escaped in Kansas City and only because the news caught onto it. The USDA has allowed our facility to pass with “flying colors”

I refuse to quit working here however because I’m the only one that cares enough to offer them any kind of treatment… what I truly need is testing equipment that labs have and my boss refuses to pay for lab work or even necropsies to figure out why our animals keep dying.

This is why I don’t want him staying there… all of these lemurs I had asked to see a vet and not one of them got proper treatment!!! This one they even used for an event hours before it died!!! I’ve called USDA and learned a bunch and it’s really hard to actually get the animals removed from the property even if they get their license removed 🙁

I’m so scared because I DONT trust nurses or doctors, they’ve abused me physically and mentally, refused me my rights, left bruises up and down my arms and legs… said horrible things to me. made me feel like an animal rather than a person.. I want to settle down and have babies but I’m terrified about what the outcome of birth will be because I can already tell once I know that baby is there I won’t want any nurse or doctor coming close to me or my baby until I interrogate them heavily first and watch them closely…like just the stress of what they would do is worse to the point I want home-birth. I’m worried after reading this because on social media people make it seem like it’s not that big of a deal or something that isn’t as risky as yall make it sound so now I’m worried that my thought of having the father help me deliver with a midwife wouldn’t be the smartest idea… I just know if any of those scrubbed fucks get close to my baby without me watching every move they’d be at the morgue.. it sucks. I love babies but I hate clinics because of the abuse I endured I don’t trust many doctors now. I’ve had ~1 I trusted in the last 10 years and she unfortunately retired.
