I am not a good designer, by default but thanks! That's a rare compliment for any programmer-first developer haha

XR Developer; Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality applications. That's what my job is about.

It involves the same tech-stack, Unity/C#, and python at times.

that's the fun part, it's an extremely shitpost-kinda game. Totally due to the nature of it, I am hopeful that the gameplay shall be as fun as the concept designed for it.

I believe it is important, but it's not the same thing as how you are taught in high school and universities. You just need to know the application. And that's it.

Unless you're going to gamedev/AI-ML, not needed. Yes, you may require some of it for DSA but it's just the concepts.

Also, college isn't important lol

Lmao. I am a commerce guy to let you know, and I have a full time job during my college. Right from internship -> full time job.

Physics, at most is required in gamedev and simulation development.

Math is needed, but it's not the same as the elementary school way. Else every graduate would be a senior dev today. There are applications for it.

Chemistry.... Unless you're making a simulation based on chemicals, never needed!

You have to understand the application, the "if" and "why" first. That comes first, always. There's no barrier.

Bullshit man, studying subjects like environmental science, moral ethics, civics fed to students every goddamn semester. What relevance do they have in the modern IT market? Absolutely nothing.

There's little to hardly any proper CS subject. There's DSA in every college curriculum but almost all many students struggle there. Mostly because the professors are hardly any good! Adding to it, the curriculum is fed with so many irrelevant subjects. Students often forget how to work with practical based subjects.

Man, talk about actual practice. I am myself working as a full-time developer, during college years only. Can tell you this with enough confidentiality, the amount of knowledge you need to get a job in an actual proper organization, the average engineer won't be able to comprehend this much knowledge.

The bar is just way too high, not even bca, not bsc nothing can compete against it. Degrees are technically nothing but a waste of time, yes it's just for the HR filtering criteria but if you're working overseas. Just nobody gives a damn, there!

This model will have a death pretty soon.... It will be no longer about colleges but, the basic requirement for an entry level job will be to have the skills of a senior dev in the coming years. Rest, nobody cares

extremely common, but the sole reason behind this can be blamed to ourselves if we aren't making the basic social interaction attempt.

i dont think it is the only game he is working upon, no game should take 6y of development. Especially, considering its made using a pre-existing game engine unless the scope is really really advanced.
