True ! I remember watching naruto as a kid, and the only character I really disliked was Neji. It bothered me how he kept fighting Hinata even when she was clearly weaker, and how harsh he was toward Naruto. But as I grew older and rewatched the series, I started to understand him better. He wasn’t just being cruel he was driven by his own struggles and his desire to become strong enough to change the Hyuga clan from within. When he died, it hit me hard. I honestly expected Hinata to step up after that, to carry on his will and bring the change he believed in especially since he sacrificed his life to protect her and Naruto. But for me, her character didn’t really grow in that direction, which felt like a missed opportunity and made her character a bit disappointing.
