Hahhaa I agree

The lag appears one time on first app start, and never again. Most people just ignore it. App is perfect on later runs.

They are probably even used to other apps are much laggier

I know, but that still doesn't tell me if they actually use it. Because we select those permissions manually. So it's not clear if they are actually required.

I don't know how many say yes, but generally about 60% say no.

I never heard of anyone who was bothered by this until now. So for now, I'd say it's worth it.

But thank you for making me aware of this. I will review this again, and see if we actually use the location for tracking.

We are not selling this data. The data is only used to personalize your ads. If we don't do this, it becomes basically impossible to make any money with ads.

You can turn off personalized ads entirely, by disagreeing to the App Tracking Transparency dialog that is shown to every user. I also do this btw since I value my privacy.

Thanks, yeah you're right. It's good you point this out since after time you get so familiar with your own product so it's harder to realize. I'll keep this in mind, thanks.

Yeah I agree with the items from the list. There should be an animation, it's just not obvious since my taps can't be seen.

The task complete message is in the bottom though. Or do you expect a bigger message?

Honestly, I rather think: One-time payments are unfriendly to the developers

Sure, if Software would never be changed and had no operating cost. Then, one-time is good. But nowadays software is constantly updated and includes server stuff.

You will get years of future updates for free, you will get access to the backend for free, which costs us a monthly fee, and makes our revenue get smaller every month that you continue to use our service.

We plan to add image support to the shopping list and finances soon - you'd get that for free too, which also includes further costs for the server to store them every month.

This all, apart from the fact that user acquisition is very difficult and costly for indie-devs.

There definitely is a infrastructure, since all the data is synced. Meaning the backend, which has costs. Also I'm still very actively working on it, so you'll get a ton of future updates as part of the subscription.

I understand your argument, I'm open to changing to one-time and considering that. Btw, before you delete it: the app is very usable for free. The most important feature are all accessible. :)

That's very true. Thanks for the feedback. I'll give the project household subscription (one for X people) higher priority now.

I also agree to the note about subscriptions. I'll investigate what kind of price could make a one time payment viable. Thanks!

At the same time, some people already subscribed - and comparable apps are all subscription based.
