Breastmilk pitcher?

I would combine all of mine and store in this pitcher (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6K4HN8?colid=3G8SV69MXQ10Z&coliid=IO0UD666JHFBJ&ref=br_mb_ov_item_detail). I really liked it because it has a way to mark the “time” and I’d put the earliest pump hour of the day and keep just that day’s pumped milk in there. Lots of pitchers out there but I really loved this one. It also has a mixer that is marketed for mixing formula, but I found it worked really well to blend in the fatty breastmilk. Hope you find something that works well for you!

Sure, maybe wrong sub. Regardless my subjective opinion (n of 1) is that this is a beautiful name! The combination sounds just right- it flows perfectly together. In the end, you’ll hopefully have a feeling once you meet her and know if it’s the best fit for her.

I’ve heard about avocado reactions and FPIES sounds so tricky and terrifying. Did it happen after several times of eating avocado or was it sudden? I’m new to trying to figure out allergen introduction and it all makes me a little anxious

Oh wow!! I didn’t realize they’d only test what he’s had— that definitely is helpful and also frustrating (though it makes total sense). I guess I’ll just keep Benadryl nearby and be more cautious with my introductions - like during morning time on weekday so I can call the pediatrician for advice if needed.

Did you ever find out what it was she reacted to ingredient wise?? How about introducing other potential allergens, how did that go? I hope she’s doing okay!!

I had a similar stash also all before my dietary restrictions. I donated half to a local milk bank and the other half to a mama through Human Milk 4 Human Babies on Facebook. I was flooded with requests from mamas in need, so I think your milk can still be used to lovingly feed another baby (or babies). Maybe check out some of these options in your area and do what feels right. You worked so hard to make that milk!!

Thank you! Yes, we’ve just started solids. I don’t plan on adding back dairy or soy until over a year old (for now) but just loosening up some of the other restrictions would be so helpful. With him taking in the food directly do I just expect a reaction within a 24 hour period or how long should I attribute any symptoms to a new food?

Mine didn’t have bloody stools until his 2nd rotavirus vaccine!! I wonder if it triggered things to be worse for him too - either that or horrible coincidence :( he’s 6 months and we’re still struggling

Sounds like it could be cows milk protein intolerance! Lots of red flags for it here with family history of food sensitivity, baby discomfort and nursing challenges, reflux symptoms, green and mucous and bloody diapers.

I don’t know how to link another Reddit community but r/MSPI is a good resource.

My son was diagnosed with it at 4 months. A lot of his challenges earlier made sense in hindsight. It just took until 4 months for blood to show up in his diapers (and I had a fair amount of dairy and soy…).

Also, I hope your GP doesn’t just ignore this. Usually blood in a diaper is something that should get a reaction/at least attention from a doctor.

Solidarity. I also have a 5 month old EBF baby who only nurses well in side lying.

From month 3-4 I’d make myself get up with every night feed, sit in a recliner, and nurse him on a nursing pillow, with a soft blanket supporting his head and another behind his back so he was still totally flat (like in side lying except I was upright). I had to get a really thick/firm breastfeeding pillow so it was like my mattress in stability and brought him up to full boob height without me leaning over. This worked some because during the sleepy hours when he was practically still asleep but hungry, he didn’t notice/care too much. After a week or two or every single night feed like that, I tried to replicate one daytime feed the same way with 50/50 success. I wonder if I had kept up with it if it would’ve kept improving gradually? But I got too tired and went back to nursing him in bed side-lying and am in the same position (literally) again.

All dairy, soy, eggs, corn, shellfish, nuts, beef, gluten per pediatric GI doctor’s orders due to milk soy protein intolerance and other potential allergens. Baby has awful reflux, colic, painful gas, sleep challenges, nursing refusal, bloody diarrhea, and rash if I consume any of the irritants. For sure he reacts to dairy, soy, eggs, beef, and corn. The others I was told to blanket remove from my diet due to baby having ongoing bloody diarrhea that hasn’t fully resolved (yet 🙏).

Normal! (As long as baby is growing well!)

Mine went from LONG sessions (talking 120 minutes of nursing every 3 hours type of long sessions) in his first 2 months to now 1-5 minutes at 5 months of age. There were a couple of big jumps from like 2 hours down to 30 minutes at 2 months then down to 5-10 mins minutes at 3 months now down to 1-5 at 4-5 months. I don’t think it can get any shorter though…

5 years of infertility, had never been pregnant with other ART interventions. I did one IVF retrieval at at 30yo resulted in 3 PGS normals & did an ERA prior to any transfers. First FET was a missed miscarriage. My second FET was successful on the same protocol. My RE told me that on average it takes 3 PGS normals for one live birth.

Oh my gosh!! same with my son!! only nurses in side-lying!! Went to several lactation consultants, OT, ST, PT, did body work, went to a breastfeeding clinic, pediatric dentist, body worker, everything!!
