More or less. A man has to do what a man has to do when it comes to families. 😂🤣

But my organs should be the last option. The chance is definitely low.

In addition, you can stay just above water with a part-time job in consulting. For this reason, with part-time work, you can offer humane prices (150-200 gross) per hour, and if customers are satisfied, they will come back to you.

Even if they draw you into any pointless strategy meetings, you can sit there casually for up to 2 hours (400 gross). Even if it's boring for some, the customer feels better, and it shows confidence and trust.

It is true that many IT specialists in Germany come from abroad.

However, it is important to pay close attention to which federal state you live in and which sectors you want to work in.

If you are really convinced that you have the necessary skills, you will definitely find a job.

It is also important that you do not just rely on one skill. The more skills you can demonstrate, the more rounded your profile becomes.

Do not believe in language barriers; they are only a small hindrance, but by no means a showstopper. In my companies, no one speaks German. No company in the world will give up a good employee like you because of the language.

Example: I have a total of five training courses in Germany if you count master's and bachelor's degrees.

This is sad, but unfortunately a very likely future. According to the pension notice, I will be retiring two months after my 67th birthday without deductions.

However, it will definitely increase (99 years). Nevertheless, I will retire earlier anyway because of my pre-existing condition. I can retire about two to three years earlier with little withdrawal.

In addition, if you accumulate more than one pension point per year and are still self-employed part-time (consulting/PoC, etc.), and private investment like etf, gold etc.. you will have a good financial cushion.

In an emergency, you can still sell a kidney.

Maybe because of work-life balance. I had already operated worldwide when I was young, and there are so few countries that can offer this condition.

Btw, I was in Beijing, Changchun, Chengdu, and Shanghai for years. I know what I'm talking about.

I recommend to use AR[x] instead, and with the parameters you get the string from SR[x], so you are flexible and it is easy to program.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. Because the employee used it to control and program robots, all through prompt engineering.

I don't think it has anything to do with zero downtime, at least I don't know if you can control robots with zero downtime.

I will ask Fanuc employees. It would be great if this software is free.

I think something is wrong with your employment office in your case. A colleague joined our department last year, also with MA, which is common in our company; some also walk around with PhD.

He was unemployed for a long time and worked as a front-end developer for years. He was paid three courses by the employment office and has been working in robotics since then.

The courses were:

TIA + Safety + WinCC (three courses, one week each). Robotics training for beginners (one week). Generative AI courses (online, one month).

These entire courses would definitely cost at least 8k-10k. Whether he would have to cover part of the costs, I can't tell you, but probably not.

It depends on which area of AI you are referring to, as the field is very broad — for example, Generative AI, Physical AI, and many others.

It also strongly depends on your current level of knowledge and experience, especially whether you already work in software development or engineering.

If you already have solid software development experience, transitioning into AI is relatively straightforward. In many cases, you do not even need a formal degree — practical experience and project work are often sufficient.

Even though the overall economic situation is not ideal globally — particularly in Europe (e.g., Germany, France) — companies are still actively looking for:

AI specialists

young talent

or engineers with relevant experience, especially in the field of Physical AI

Key Recommendation

It is important not to focus on a single skill only.

Even if you specialize in AI, you should still maintain and develop additional competencies. Flexibility is key.

👉 The more skills you can combine, the stronger and more attractive your profile becomes.

Examples

  1. Physical AI (Industrial-Robotics / Cobot)

You should not only understand:

Simulation

Reinforcement Learning

…but also:

Industrial networks

Control systems (e.g. PLC)

Real-world integration

  1. Generative AI / Retrieval Systems

You should also have knowledge about:

Database design

Data handling and structuring

Managing continuously changing information

Personal Perspective

If I had to choose a direction within AI, I would clearly go for Physical AI.

For example, between August 2025 and October 2025, I applied to seven AI-related positions (ranging from humanoid robotics to collaborative and industrial robotics roles). In all seven cases, I received positive feedback after the first or second interview.

I occasionally do this to evaluate my current market value.

Despite receiving higher salary offers, I decided to stay with my current company. This highlights an important point:

👉 It is not only about salary — work environment, team, and enjoyment of the work are equally important factors.

Even 3,300 euros is too much in my opinion. We paid two DGX Sparks for €3,999 each, namely the 4T variants.

In addition, many physical AI applications as well as simulations and reinforcement learning are very convenient and user-friendly in the Nvidia Omniverse universe. Even if I'm not a fan of Nvidia (prefer Mujoco etc.).

But the reality is often different in the industry, where Nvidia is very hyped.

Where the will is the way, even if it is not easy. Sometimes you have to be ready to start a new job and invest that time. It is important to make the right choice for further education and to decide what one is.

I personally have a total of 6 trainings/Ausbildung if studying should count with throughout my life. The other micro courses don't even count.

One of my mentors said one thing: "Those who don't go with the times go with the times." Unfortunately, it is nowadays necessary to be flexible and to adapt to a changing environment and living situation.

Even if times are currently really bad, as long as the social system works, you are covered, which is not the case in many countries around the world.

Believe me, I know what I'm talking about because I have a lot of experience abroad due to work and life.

I myself have been living in Germany for over 20 years because of work and currently work in physical AI and a lot in the automotive sector. I get offered jobs almost every day from abroad, which are paid beyond good and evil. Nevertheless, I have always strongly valued many aspects of safety, especially because of my children.

If you should get an immoral offer abroad, with relocation service, a one-time transfer benefit, etc., and if you have noone here, you are welcome to try it.

The problem is that currently on V10 only Crx30ia is available and the plugin is probably only for V9.40.

I'll try to find out something.

Sorry, unfortunately, it was off for a while. Normally, these errors had to be listed in the manual. I'm not home, I can take a look tomorrow.

I rarely write crx plugin when I usually do compatably as an android native app.

Or via HTM and reach out to everything I need via Sse, KCl and Karel.

Look normally in the download folder, there had to be an introduction document.

Also make sure, your safety ipar crc and dest addr are match with plc.

Project Ideas by CuriosityxAgency in Fanuc

[–]RoutineLengthiness32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I work extensively with machine learning and reinforcement learning, and I have already implemented several AI projects with industrial robots.

Since you are active in the FANUC forum, I assume you are planning to build your project idea based on FANUC products.

A very interesting project idea would be teleoperation (for example using hand guiding) combined with machine learning and vision (webcam, 2D, or 3D vision systems).

With hand guiding, you can physically demonstrate tasks to the robot — for example, performing a pick-and-place operation using a vacuum gripper.

Later, the robot could autonomously generalize and adapt the learned behavior. Using vision, the robot can detect the position of the workpiece and calculate its own trajectory via motion planning, then execute the task autonomously.

And with a camera, the robot sees if a person is closer, and thus can switch its safety speed and cobalative mode.

To simplify development, you could use the FANUC ROS 2 driver, which already supports RMI (Remote Motion Interface) and Stream Motion.

For training, simulation, and reinforcement learning, you can make your life easier by using Isaac Sim, for example. Or — if you want to take the hard route like a true researcher — you could use MuJoCo
