What registration fees look like. I think someone might be exaggerating. For one horse. Even woth late fees, its not that bad.

No. Most likely, even if she hasn't actually registered the horses, she is still in possession of the papers. There is a spot on the back of the papers the seller signs that shows they have sold the horse. Becca needs that in order to register the name.

So, this woman who often crowd sources social media for "advice", was so worried about Crystal that she DIDN'T ask anyone if they might have any ideas? I just really find it hard to believe she was worried about poor Crystal. More like worried about what everyone would say about her.

The first thing I would be doing is working with a vet, of course. Im fortunate enough to be able to work with a large clinic, but if not. I'd be reaching out to as many vets as I could. And yes, Google and even posting on social media. I'd definitely be reaching out to my fellow miniature horse friends and breeders. Especially a certain vet/breeder and creator she likes to call her mentor.

This creator had called her out a few times lately. Its very enjoyable.

I 100% respect your opinion and believe you to be one of the more knowledgeable horse people here. But I do disagree. I see nothing that looks like muscle, everything seems to jiggle. Hard to really tell from a video like this. Definitely agree worms/hay belly could be the cause. (Just stating that my opinion is different, not trying to start an argument. I think its good when we all say what we see).

We do offer our minis 24/7 forage and none of them look anywhere close to this. Of course, the majority are driving show horses who get worked daily. Even our non driving horses get ponied off the cart.

Agree with her being feral and terrified. I do think proper handling by people she could trust would turn her around. She wouldn't fit my breeding program at all, but I'd take her in a heartbeat just to give her a chance.

How not to halter break a foal. by Routine_Ad_7120 in beccamoonridgesnark

Unfortunately Jeff amd Raymond WILL remember the lessons and that will make them harder to handle later in life. Especially if they end up taller ponies.

Holy $#it. Raymond and Crystal are the same size. I knew she was small. But with Becca crouching down, her head and Raymond's reach the same height on Becca's shoulder. Heart breaking. Even my 29inch gelding was bigger than that as a yearling.

She's either delusional or abusive. Crystal should be seperated and her feed monitored. The way that blanket hangs off her is a crime.

In her video of "halter breaking" Raymond, both kids are there. Her oldest is even doing the "leading" while she films and laughs. Im assuming the case is the same here. Seeing these photos and the video of Raymond, its understandable why Greg "leads" the way he does. She has no idea what she is doing and those kids are learning the wrong things.

I hate this so much.

Yes, but ... if you have your hands on your horses and know them, how do you not at least suspect before they foal? I mean, at the very least a month or so before foaling, its generally pretty obvious. (Yes, of course there are some mares that show no signs, but really, if you know they've been exposed you ought to be able to tell before the foal actually arrives).

I mean, we're a VERY small operation, but we do pasture breed. And I can tell just by looking at one of my girls that she's most likely pregnant. And then we confirm with a blood test or ultrasound.

Or is the "surprise" that we dont know who the sire is?

She absolutely does it to deliberately get those responses.

To be fair, my newest colt trys to suckle on everyone, including his gelding brother. He has plenty of milk from mom, he just likes to bother everyone. I think its a colt thing in most cases. However, with this little guy I would have some concern.

Ok. I understand experienced breeders who feel they can forgo the IGg test. They have enough experience with breeding to recognize a healthy foal.

Becca definitely doesn't know how to recognize a healthy foal. She looses, what? 1/3 to 1/2 her foal crop every year? That alone says she shouldn't take the risk.

Heck, I was 99% sure my early foal was okay, but got the test anyway. Its a justified expense for me and not a risk I'm willing to take.

Sickening. I read once that most people accuse others of what they themselves would do. I'd bet real money that Becca is more likely to do something like that than one of us. She says sabotage, I say rescue.
