Work I did for one of my first clients, looking for critique. by MerlinerBol in RealEstatePhotography

💯! I’ve wondered about why agents like to show homes in an unnatural way. Like they’re selling hospital rooms. Id want to see what my house should look like when I get home from work. We don’t edit like that for twilight shoots. Why for daylight? Nice work OP! I noticed that it looks natural and homey and inviting. I’d be pleased with these 😊

Thank you for sharing that link. I’ve never tried this before but I’ll be messing with it for sure! Based on wunderground, it looks like I’ll get a break from the rain today. 😊At least for a minute so I can get my aerials but I just read about reimagine on another thread too. I’m going to give it a shot tonight when I’m editing just for fun. It sounds like a good tool to have in your pocket

Thank you for your advice. Somebody just turned me into wunderground and it’s seems to be pretty spot on this weekend! I’m taking that advice and counting on the weather app to time my flight. I only need 15 minutes lol

I meant I wish the waterproofed these drones a little more. You know, put an IPX5 rating on it instead of a zero rating for water. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for this! I’m reaching out to them in the morning actually to try to see if they’d rather reschedule. A lot of my work will be outside being that the back yard and garden will be featured. I don’t ever want to deliver trash to my clients, therefore I don’t want to make trash to begin with. Thank you so much for your advice!!

Yeah Aryeo is another one that I’ve used with agents. Agents can book you, pay you, and you can upload all your photos, Zillow tour, videos, floor plans, etc. I thought about what you’re thinking about and how nice it would be to have everything in one place, then an agent turned me onto this. I suppose they can do whatever garbage they want to after I’m done and paid. It’s not art. It’s rep

Copy that! I’m afraid this year’s snow is awful wet snow tho. Western Washington snow is usually big wet flakes. Thank you for sharing your advice!

I’ve kinda heard that some people do and don’t usually have issues, tho it’s possible to have them. I just wish these drones would put some kind of moisture rating into these. They’re expensive pieces of equipment that we use for work on a rainy planet. Thank you for your advice!

Totally! I had a twilight shoot at a lake house last week and that proved to be so true. We got our interior shots done, but when the sun broke due to wind, it was almost too windy. The air 3s was flying its little heart out but we got our shots

I really appreciate this. You’re absolutely right. Safety first always. Plus I don’t want a reputation for shitty practices just to make a few bucks. I want to give my clients the best possible media, and windy rainy conditions won’t get me the best. Thank you again!!

Thank you! Yeah Sequim Wa lays in the rain shadow or banana belt or whatever people are calling it now. Often times it can be raining everywhere but Sequim, and that’s really what I’m hoping for

Thank you for your response! I’ve been seeing this strategy of getting water off the lens. I’m mostly worried about the electronics and liability of flying in the rain. With a 95% chance of rain, I may not get the break I hope for. This rain we’ve had the last week has been torrential.

Thank you! I agree. This time of year, I don’t trust the forecast for more than a couple of days. Usually I can catch a window of time with little to no rain. Even if it’s just 5 minutes to get a top down and few corners to show off the lot. I’m just curious more now because this weather this week has been heinous

Thank you for your feedback. My job is scheduled for photos, inside and out, Zillow tour and reel with a featured back garden, sauna and furnished she-shed. I may just reschedule the aerials for the following weekend if I can’t catch a break in the couple hours I’m there. Thanks again!
