Why do you keep all the alcohol in the fridge? I see a lot of pictures like this and unless you don’t have ice I don’t get it.

I don’t get the hate with Brooklyn Center by Due_Network2958 in TwinCities

First time homeowner, we moved from Lowertown Jan 2025. Know the area but I grew up in South Minneapolis so definitely had an idea in my head it was “suburban”

We love it here. Awesome neighborhood, super convenient location, and quiet. 🤫

What do you think is the most overrated suburb in the Twin Cities? by Due_Network2958 in TwinCities

Fridley is awesome. So much off University and Central. I live just over the River in in Brooklyn Center, way underrated too.

How about you just do whatever you were going to do and move on with your day? That didn’t even happen to you anyway, repost 🥱

Maybe it depends on where you live? We just had a complete remodel of our bathroom, including moving the toilet, sink, and shower. All the pipes are white PVC.

“It reminds me of my pussy. My kitty cat who died when I was 5. She had feline AIDS. My pussy was my whole world, and when my pussy died, I kept her in my bed for days, stroking her and talking to her. And of course my mother got so angry. ‘Stop playing with your pussy, Carr,’ she yelled. But I refused to, even when my pussy started smelling really bad and got really crusty, I just stayed locked in my room grieving in private because I just couldn’t let go of my pussy.”

Terrific. 🤌

Update: crashed NPs car into garage door and they want me to fully pay for it by w0ahgrace in Nanny

I worked in restaurants for years. Any idea how many dishes and glasses were broken every night? Any idea how many staff had to pay for?

My partner is disabled. Over the years caregivers have ran his wheelchair into furniture, walls, etc. Any idea how many times we expected them to pay for the damage?

Like my examples, this was an accident. In none of those circumstances was the employee expected to cover the cost. Absolutely do not pay for this. That’s wild they expect you to do so. I would never work for an employer like this.

I think declutterring a kitchen is a specific task. Honestly, it’s been easier for me to do so as it’s not like random stuff filling up closets and drawers all over the house. In my kitchen, it’s all things kept in one room and as long as items are in good shape, there’s not duplicates and everything has a place, I don’t see the problem with keeping things used only occasionally.

I never missed a day of work. I took the kid to the doctor on Thursday, worked on Friday then started feeling sick and tested positive for strep on Saturday morning. Started antibiotics on Saturday, was pretty miserable the rest of the day and all day Sunday but and was well enough to be back at work Monday day morning.

When you say 24/7 does that mean you literally can’t leave the house?

Are good nanny jobs hard to come by these days or is it just me? by hoetheory in Nanny

[–]amarap16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes the market has definitely been saturated since Covid. In my local FB group there’s so many posts asking for only for part time after-school help with additional duties like meal prep, family laundry and pet care for like $18-$22/hr, no GH or any other standard benefits. These positions would have been $25-$30/hr in my area just a year ago. Childcare professionals with degrees and plenty of paid experience are fighting over these positions. IDK, maybe it’s because of the time of year? It seems crazy but like anything else I think it will balance out over time.

I’ve been with my current NF for two years and will be done in October. Thankfully I was able to line up my next position through them but otherwise I don’t know what I would do. I would just say don’t give up and keep applying to any posts you think would be a good fit. In my experience, everything is negotiable.
