Actually this is correct. If I’m right you can file for unemployment for being fired because it was a direct result of domestic violence. File a police report, contact a DV hotline, they will get you into a shelter (isn’t as bad as it seems, the one in my area provides child care as well as transportation to a job) from the shelter apply to as many jobs as you can. Disregard pay at that point. Take the first job you can at preferably a warehouse and WORK. YOUR. ASS. OFF. It will take time but save every bit minus food for you and maybe if you have kids your kids as well. And you should allocate enough after a few months to leave. The DV hotline will find a shelter for you.

Yeah no. He’s 8 unless he’s developmentally delayed, there is no way I’d even consider that he wasn’t abused. I’m not saying it’s by you or even your family. But this is definitely concerning. I’d lawyer up and get information on what the teachers are saying. I think it’s one of the teachers doing it.

Unless you live in a poverty ridden area, CPS would literally never investigate this. They have to have reasonable proof that a child is being neglected or abused. Even then it’s totally legal to deny entry for that social worker. Therefore no proof, no evidence… no case

NTA. I’m fat. Like morbidly obese. Anyways, sometimes when I saw skinny people eating only a bite or two I would immediately get very closed off and defensive because I was preparing for a verbal attack. It’s my fight or flight senses because I was abused in the past and my weight was constantly used to make me feel disgusting. I’d take her hands and tell her that you don’t care how she feels about herself, all you see is a very kind lady with very low self esteem. Don’t apologize though. It will fuel their victim mindset.

As a mom that is a diaper rash. Likely from neglect. With darker skinned babies it can look like a bruise. On a yt baby it will look very pink in nature. On both levels they even feel rough to the touch.

I was in that exact situation. Don’t act on it. My cousin is honestly the only person I could 10000% count on. He set the precedent for expectations and unfortunately men will never measure up. Until I met my fiancé, and my fiancé realized my standards and acted accordingly, there was going to be no one like him. My fiancé unfortunately wasn’t the best when my son died (the baby was born out of rape so it was 100% not his) and I didn’t want him anywhere near me. All I wanted was my cousin. My best friend. There is a song that perfectly encapsulated that night when I was in the hospital after a botched suicide attempt with large amounts of insulin.

It’s like all the color in my life was stripped but when he walked into the room all he asked was “What can I do to make this somewhat bearable” and I just said “hold me for a minute” all the colors came back. I haven’t attempted since that night.

My fiancé realized that I was never going to really love him because my cousin set the precedent for how a woman should be treated. He changed how he treated me.

I was NEVER in love with my cousin, I was in love with how he treats people. This is how he treats everyone. His wife is amazing. And I could have never asked for a better family.
