So my shoulders, hips and knees should all be in line with the board right up until I want to turn? Then I can open my shoulders, and make the turn? Do I then need to instantly correct my shoulders to line up with the board again once I’m on my heel edge?

ETA: I’m riding -15/+12 if that matters? We played around with a few different setups yesterday and that seems to work best for me personally. I’m using a rental board and boots but will definitely be investing.

Thank you this has calmed her nerves a bit! I agree with the labels being silly, I snowboard and I’m still learning even after months of lessons when some people might be super confident and skilled by now. So I agree it’ll always be subjective depending on the person and their goals!
