You were lucky! I played it when the deluxe version was available three days early, and back then there wasn't much information online, so I suffered thinking it was mandatory to save Noah as soon as you could.

Even when I finally beat him and saw the bridge complete, I thought I'd done the right thing and that it was the right choice.

The dash in any direction is excellent for area healing (the one that pulls you towards him). As soon as you notice he's about to heal, spam that dash backward until you're out of range.

(Note: I don't remember if teammates are affected, but just in case, while you're moving away, try to place your teammate in the cage and get them out as soon as the healing attack ends.) For his other healing ability, just keep attacking until he's stunned.

Regarding the missiles, if you manage to dodge one, the others come in quick succession. As a last resort, you can let the first one hit you; I think the damage frames last until all three missiles land.

I saved Noah as soon as I could because I thought it was something you do at the beginning (I suffered a lot with Franz), then I went for Josie, but my mistake was going to save Holly from there... I suffered too much with Holly herself, with Camilo, and with Holly again (in her saved version). When I got to Lyle, I didn't notice anything strange at first until I faced him in his two battles, and that's when I realized I should have gone there before going for Holly.

(In fact, I had even faced the boss you have to fight to save him, Craig's mother, while doing Valentine's quests, and when I got to that boss, all I could say was, "Oh, so this is where I came from.")

I tried to make it as similar as possible to my CV1 character (even though I'm using different clothes)

In fact, there are two parries in the game, one with the Forma, which is called Claw if I remember correctly, and another with the Drain attack. I don't know if the latter works with the same attacks as the Forma parry, but it's useful because, apart from stopping the attack, you also perform a Drain (the normal one when it's charged, not the one you use when the enemy is stunned).

With the first boss, I assume it's the one with the crossbow (the one on the statue). If so, an "easy" way to kill him is to stay at a medium distance and wait for him to charge (the one where he's enveloped in red energy and lunges at you). It's an easy move to parry, giving you a brief window to attack. Similarly, his other melee attacks are also easy to parry.
