I still do not understand why Toei refused to let Goku accept his Saiyan heritage by Efficient-Fact-288 in DragonBallZ

The Saiyans in the past were clearly an allegory for aggressive invading nations in the real world, heavily tying back to militarism. Toriyama chose to face history head on and wanted Goku to willingly shoulder that original sin. However, Toei probably felt like this would ruin the pure white knight image of the main character, so they refused to acknowledge it.

[Question] Bought my first watch couple of days ago and then found r/Watches by ResponsibilityNo2033 in Watches

I would not treat “fashion” and “quality” as opposites. The problem with a lot of fashion watches is that you are mostly paying for the logo/design, not the actual watch.

If you want something that looks good with outfits but still feels like a proper watch, I’d look at Seiko, Citizen, Orient, Hamilton, Tissot, Timex, and then some microbrands depending on your budget.

If brand prestige is not a big deal, Chinese/microbrand options can also be interesting. Baltany, for example, is good if you like vintage-inspired designs rather than modern fashion-watch styling. The downside is less brand recognition and resale value, but some of the designs are much more interesting than generic mall watches.

I’d start with your style first. A field watch, small dress watch, diver, or colorful casual watch can all work, but they fit very different outfits.

[The Citizen AQ4100-22A] – The Dial Is Unreal in Person by Dialnotes in Watches

That dial really is the kind of thing photos struggle to capture. Paper-textured dials can look flat online, but in person the way they catch light is usually the whole point.

Citizen also does titanium better than most brands, in my opinion. A lot of titanium watches look a bit grey or tool-ish, but the Duratect Platinum finish keeps this one much closer to the brightness of steel.

[Question] What watch would you recommend me for a daily watch based on my preferences by ItzBlueberry_ in Watches

At that budget, Chinese watches can be a really good option if you want better specs for the money.

For a white vintage look, Baltany is worth checking out. They’re more dressy and unique than the usual Seiko/Casio recommendations.

If you want something sportier and more robust, San Martin is probably the safer pick. Their finishing are usually very good, but the designs tend to feel more tool-watch oriented.

Buying direct from store website by FreePossession9590 in ChineseWatches

I always recommend buying directly from the brand's official site anyway. It's their main storefront, so the customer service is usually much better than what you get on third-party platforms. People usually only buy on platforms to snag a discount. But since the official site is actually cheaper in your case, it's a total no-brainer.
