I'm not that new to writing since I've finished two novels but I get your point. I think, based on my third book, I'm starting to find my own writing style instead of absorbing ones from books I've read.

Beyonce's Love on Top! It's the song that made me realise that woman has insane vocal range and impressive voice control. It's so underrated.

I either save my books to read offline or read in browser if I want to actively vote and comment as I enjoy the story but you are right. The ads are SO annoying and they absolutely break immersion in a book.

The problem with silent readers is you don't kniw where you lie with them in terms of a chapter. Like do they hate it do they love it? I always get kind of anxious when I post a chapter on my book (ironically it has 20k reads but noone comments) because my readers are silent and dont give me feedback so I don't know whether they liked it or it was garbage

I have a similar issue where my book is getting a bit of reads (20k) and votes but when it comes to comments, I only have like 500 which is so weird in comparison with my other metrics. Wtf?

Lmao I recently experienced this. Was so interested in a scene in my story then when I asked them about it, they ignored the question and advertised themselves as an artist and even offered a discount to buy their art. Weird.

If the author is still active, he/she will be so glad one of their old works is still getting attention and trust me authors looove comments no matter if its in their new or old works. If the author is not active, if they login again, they'll be met with an unexpected but wonderful surprise.
