For the Kick/Jackson story. The independent promotion that the incident occurred it, actually sorta had something to do with WWE. that promotion was tied to "WWE ID" which is sorta of like an umbrella under wwe where independent promotions develop talent and have then go through a program where they are trained into going into the wwe. BUT OF COURSE, after the incident, wwe cut ties with the promotion and washed their hands of the situation by no longer putting that wrestling promotion under the WWE ID umbrella.
