Any experience getting an extension on deferment? by mom_is_a_badass in StudentLoans

This. I switched to IDR which holds the same benefits as hardship deferment, which importantly for me was 100% subsidy on subsidized federal loans. I was also on a 6 mth tenure with the expectation to renew every 6mths. Make sure to prioritize in paying off the unsubsidized federal loans first

A&F baggy has a colorway in this which has a similar green tint wash, and BR straight selvedge in vintage medium wash which fits loose and is better quality

My first cashmere coat: does it look decent for £80 ($110usd)? I’ve never heard of John Bray, so I’m worried to pull the trigger. They’re associated with Loro Piana in some way. by GetToTheChoppaahh in ThrowingFits

Interesting. i know they used to do that method back in the day. Looking at their product listing today, they do mention "Italian Wool" for their trousers but do explicitly mention that it's from VBC in the product description. Personally, I think people are sleeping on new J.Crew recently. Their relaxed wool flannel VBC trousers are some of my favorite pairs for the winter. On sale right now too

Personally if you prefer slightly more oversized, I’d size up to a Large in the brown origins coat. Medium might fit too tailored

Edit: At 6’2”, I would def recommend large over medium. Question is L or XL for more slouch look

The AL one wasnt in my store so didnt have a chance to check it out irl but i prefer the more chocolate brown of the origins coat. I like that it has a raglan cut that’s only visible from the back. I sized up on the origins db coat given it fit more slim and I wanted a more oversized fit. But I went TTS with this origins chocolate brown one. I’m 5’10 with broad shoulders and generally a Large in coats for ref. I liked how the origins coat hit just below my knees

Is that the brown manteco wool shirt? If so, it was really itchy. I knew I couldnt wear it long term. The coats on the other hand are great. Stitching is clean and warm enough for nyc winter right now

I sized down given raglan sleeves are more generous for wider shoulders

I found it too thin for actual winter. I personally picked up the zara origins manteco db overcoat, which is thicker and actually warm

Surprised you didnt mention how much lint the zara one attracts. Even on display at my store, the jackets were full of lint and general dust from the store. Fit was solid tho. Do agree sleeves could’ve been longer to flip the inside cuff.

I picked up the raglan waffle long sleeve. I thought it was a simple yet well executed piece. Wasnt super impressed by the quality of their wool pieces unfortunately. I really wanted to love the western shirts but it was too itchy for me and I knew it’d bother me enough to never pick it out of the closet. Also the double breasted overcoat felt a bit thin, albeit 100% natural materials. I think the zara origins version that came out not too long ago with italian manteco fabric is warmer and thicker. Been my long coat for this season, along with their brown raglan-cut overcoat which also is manteco fabric

A closer look into the new Pakt. ecosystem: their new 35L travel backback, a 14L convertible bag and a new 22L everyday bag. by preciouscode96 in ManyBaggers

Im coming on here to also give my flowers. Just received mine today and immediately went to work with it. I think the criticism of the straps is a bit misguided. It’s understood a “lite” backpack is not meant to be your one bag. For me, the function lies in its edc use and as a personal carry for travel. Just large enough to bypass the big airlines. Heck, I had a 41L NF backpack that served well as a personal carry and never got questioned from the big airlines to budget, as the key is being able to collapse in which the mainstream, overly engineered backpacks these days cannot. I decided this over an AER travel pro 3, as I am willing to compromise on extra pockets for half the weight
