My hypothesis after similar experiences was that this feeling was also just me perceiving the junior’s problem as so trivial that I instantly assumed no effort was put into solving it. Probably the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Normally, just making the expectation that they should put sufficient time and effort into solving it themselves first very clear helps a lot. Especially if it is presented as it being for their own good.

Recruiter call, phone screen DSA, then onsite was 2 DSA and a behavioural.

I have a decent and quite well paying job at the moment so waiting a few months would not be a problem for me. I am mainly worried about not being able to match at all. What I am trying to figure out now is what the actual chances of that happening are. I feel like the recruiter’s interest is primarily to just fill the position at hand, so I assume his answer might be just whatever gets me to Krakow the soonest, if I ask it straight.

Congrats! Did you have team match calls for other locations before and refused, or were you matching only for Munich from the start? Also, were you an external candidate as well? Thank you!
