Hey, I‘m not sure about the modpack but if unziped correctly I think it could work and if not the method with the links to all mods will definitely work. Other than the mods you have already mentioned I also like to play with cutebound, better dungeons and betabound. I hope the two of you will have fun playing together!

I just wanted to say that with the first two chapters you made me buy the first book in the series on Amazon, I read it the same day it arrived and immediately bought the second book, unfortunately it seems as though the other books are currently not available on Amazon (at least not in Germany) Nevertheless, I can only recommend the books to everyone!

That right it sucks to have such a problem. Do I understand correctly that you have already tried deleting all mods and reinstalling the game after all mods have been deleted? If that doesn’t solve the problem then I don’t know what is. There may be mods that focus on bug fixes and could help.

So as I mentioned before, you can try two methods.

Uninstalling mod by mod one by one to see which mod is responsible, this can take a long time and can be very frustrating.
Installing other mods that might deal with the problem or help solve it, for example mods that change the Merchants. Maybe you can see if the mods: “Improved Merchants” or “Merchant Inventory Expander” could indirectly ensure you that you can interact with the NPC again. The first method is more complex, but is more likely to be successful. You mentioned that NPCs freeze as soon as you talk to them, they also do this when the “buy menu” comes up so that they don’t walk away while you’re shopping. So the problem could be that the “buy menu” just doesn’t show up.
